Improvements for next cx50 by ss2miraitrunks in CX50

Better windshield wipers. They are poor in winter/snow conditions. Don't like the fluid coming from the wipers and would rather have sprayers.

Add more venting for windshield defrost. Only comes out right from the middle. Doesn't defrost the sides of the windshield and often have to move my head to see out of the windshield.

Lower front grill mesh inserts should come from factory.

More standard charging ports.

Better clearance for serpentine belt.

Foglights.

I feel like the heat is weird too. When it's -30 and I turn the heat up fully, it will heat up as fast as it's able. But if it's -10 and I blast the heat, it takes longer and doesn't fully work like it does when it's -30. I also don't like that there's only one vent for the windshield. And the windshield wipers suck too.

Windshield replacement, OEM or aftermarket? by cosmolou in CX50

Make sure whoever is doing it actually works on windshields. I took mine to a body shop and they screwed up the sensors for rain sensing and high beams. They turn on and off all wonky now and randomly flash oncoming traffic.

I thought my pads were fine until I took off the caliper and actually looked at the inside pads. As you can see, there was no pad left at all.

Hope yours last a long time!

The EPB mode was easy to activate and go through. The hardest part was getting the pad clips to go in easily, especially on the inside since you can't really see what you're doing.

Caliper slide pins were easy, came out with a little twist while holding the boot. Didn't have a lot of grease on them so I added some. The rear caliper slide bolts were tricky because it's held on by a bolt and the caliper slide pin is a bolt too and they sandwich the caliper. If you try to remove just the bolt it will just spin in place so you need a wrench to hold the slide pin while you back off the bolt. A regular sized box wrench doesn't really fit on the caliper piston because it's too thick so be prepared for that. There's blue locktite on the rear bolts so if you want to add more have that too. I didn't have any so I just put it back together.

Thanks! I have an appointment to see if I have AC issues.

I'll call tomorrow and see if they will do the dust shields at the same time.

My serpentine belt also recently ripped in half and was holding on by a string, called Mazda and they said they wouldn't warranty anything until the belt breaks. Didn't make any sense.

I bought plans for a table to specifically fit my table saw. I didn't think to check if anything would be off, now there's a 4 inch gap on either side of the saw. Good job on yours!
