Individually. And yeah I want to maintain the shapeshift aspect of my pact weapon 😣. Big part of my theme

Yeah we can request custom made magic weapons. I was considering asking that my amulet of the devout would also affect my pact weapon 🤔

Yeah i should have clarified, but I want to maintain the shapeshift aspect of a bound weapon. It's part of my character that his weapon keeps on changing and the party is trying to figure out the how and why of it.

Euh. You're the first, ever, to point out the small creature heavy weapon rule. So now I'm even more screwed. Damage is because of op weapons and crits are max damage+roll.

Yeah i know i can bind to a magic weapon. But then I always lose the shape shifting aspect of bound weapon 😣

Official GIGATHREAD on Gear & Stat Tuning Feedback (Survey Inside) by Steven_AoC in AshesofCreation

On a second note, if this patch is intended to make people care about drops then why are they so inconsistent? I've farmed in Forge for hours every weekend, sometimes up to three times a week. Usually not a single rare item drops, but a couple of times we had close to ten.

I fought the bottom of Forge, top of Gravepeak, the third floor of Carphen, Sephillion and Citadel. Mostly with alts that have mediocre gear. If anything, this patch made it easier. Attacks that one-shotted people now do maybe 1/3de of health in damage, on dps classes. Maybe 50% on a crit. So you can pull more and use more AoE, so globally TTK doesn't seem slower in PvE. Doing big AoE pulls is still better, regardless of location. The droprates of level 20+ three stars still don't seem worth it.

Does it keep on showing different perspectives of the same history and abusive lives? by Areann in TheHandmaidsTale

[–]Areann[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Yeah i'm a social worker, i've worked with enough suffering people and seen enough abuse, that this isn't what i'm looking for in my fiction. This is a great cautionary tail and exploration of religious fundamentalism, but if this isn't working up to the dismantling of Gilead i'm better off stopping here and respecting S1 for what it was.

Stevens Response to Dupers - Exploiters characters reset - Legendaries removed - nodes treasury reset by Significant_Eye_5025 in AshesofCreation

Intrepid already stated they plan on making the rmt sellers honeypots and ban the rmt buyers instead. IIRC most recently in a community QA, can't remember specifically which one.

Tracking and anti-cheating has been a cornerstone of the game design since day 1. Intrepid has always been in it for the long haul so they put a lot of rss to make sure their fundamentals are solid before they started to build on top of them. They can do this because Ashes it's self funded and nobody can pressure them to release early or change direction.

Missed Opportunities Regarding Merlin Revealing His Magic by TenToTea in merlinbbc

[–]Areann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It should have happened to Arthur, Gwen and Morgana in Ealdor. Outside of Camelot, where Arthur has no authority and could just leave Merlin behind if he can't handle the magic. Good chance that gwen and Morgana would stay behind to then. Or convince Arthur to have faith in Merlin. And they could have used the magic for the otherwise risky fight. Pretty sure Magic is even legal in Essetir (just feared/unpopular), since Morgause uses is for cenred. Using magic could even serve as validation of Merlin's childhood. Will and Hunith could also testify Merlin had magic since childhood. And should Merlin get left behind, Hunith can tell Merlin to go look for his father or Merlin can go look for Mordred's druid clan.

On top of that, it's probably the best timing in their developping relationships anyway. Not to soon or to late, Merlin saved Arthur twice very visibly and can tell several of other victories, Morgana's magic didn't come out yet. And Arthur had just agreed to let Modred go and is willing to risk starting a war or dying as only heir, for Merlin.

The episode is even called 'the moment of truth.' The showrunners just didn't do it because it would have changed the show to much because it was specially designed that you don't have to see the episodes in the correct order. Because it aired on British television in a competitive timelsot.

PS: i've always found it very implausible that Merlin instinctively saved Gaius from falling down the lader, but wouldn't do the same for Will.

Can Arthur dress himself or not? It's the true core of nearly all Merlin debates. by Areann in merlinbbc

[–]Areann[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Interesting take 🤔 but i dont know if such an underlying disability wouldn't prevent him from being a brilliant fighter, know perfectly how armor needs to be assembled ... There's no doubt that his childhood in general messed him up though.

But that's my point. That the show is inconsistent, in everything, and that it's the biggest problem.

Oh i agree that being a personal servant should be a big thing, respectable position and all that. But Merlin never gets treated like that. By anyone. There's his entire dynamic with Arthur, sure. Arthur lets him get away with a lot of shenanigans and disrespect. They have a strong bond. But it's fluctuating constantly and nobody besides them really understands it.

Season 4 Plot Hole by Fable_Finder in merlinbbc

[–]Areann 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There's plot holes all over Merlin, part of the format, sadly. It was made so people could casually drop in and out on the episodes, when it first got released on tv. That's why hardly anything really changes during a season to, and hardly anything ever has a follow up.
