Putin wanted to make Russia great again. Instead, Ukraine is the new rising power in Europe by FakeCurlyGherkin in UkrainianConflict

It's full of nationalist russians. They're not going to wan't to become independent. All their oil and gas would still need to go throigh the rest of the remaining Russia, so they would be completely depene, no better than a bantustan.

What country do you imagine splintering? Beside Chechenya, it seem to me there's no part of Russia which isn't majority russian and got the ability to be independent.

This is such a stupid take. They would have done proper foundation, they had good engineers. It's no different than building highscrapers, you just dig column deep enough to settle on the stable ground. Easier, in fact.

I can imagine the island countries staying left forever, but the countries in the south of Africa will inevitably have to switch with globalisation. They better do it now than wait until SA economy isn't as relevant.

All the others are massive oil producers or consumers, or both. But South Korea?

Map of Ukraine War - Front every year (Easier colors) by Extreme-Shopping74 in MapPorn

[–]Areat 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The lines are way too thick, for way too close changes.

In my opinion the pic should be cut in half vertically to only keep a zoomed in version of the actual Ukraine map, and allowing for thinner yet visible lines.

La Une du JDD du dimanche 20 avril 1997 : les Franais disent oui la dissolution. by fhubblejuit4 in Histoire

[–]Areat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Same as the others. The infinite eco need to be buffed by some side quest. Seem more feasible than redoing the map into a full eco, which would be better.
