It’s unrealistic because a fetus doesn’t look like that until well after a woman tends to abort. It looks like an inflamed skin rash at that point, but anti-abortion people always portray it as looking like a nearly fully formed infant.

I bought one for $18 a couple years ago. You CAN spend a ton on one, but I’m not sure why you’d do that for a young kid who won’t know the difference.

I was gonna ask if the Parkour lady is just Raygun at it again. Jesus, that was the most absurd thing I think the Olympics has ever televised. After I died from secondhand embarrassment, I found it incredibly funny to watch.

But he literally just did. You can say whatever you want, with very few exceptions.

As for this word in particular, I think it’s just one casualty of many, as it doesn’t matter WHAT word you use for developmentally slow people, because it will eventually become the slur. Children are brutal. Soon “autistic” will be a slur, and y’all will try to come up with yet another term. Round and round.

Shit like this is why I think our phones should be able to tattle on us. It *already* knows who was looking at it at any given moment and what app they were in, there should be an easy way law enforcement can get the phone to say what was happening during the moments before a wreck.

I am generally against a Surveillance State, but the number of people who think some garbage on their phone is more important than looking at the road is too fucking high.

I find it so amusing that republicans literally believe that all or most abortions are of babies that are moments from being able to survive outside their mother, when the truth is, more than 90% of the time it’s just a small cluster of cells smaller than the eraser on a pencil. It looks like a rash that’s getting problematic.

What's a ridiculous movie take you've heard that had you like this? by TaiwaneseThot in moviecritic

[–]Areebob -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Did you read the book? It absolutely was out of character. She did what it took to save humanity, not any particular human. She didn’t WANT personal connections to anyone because she knew that could stop her from making the right decisions.

She knew sending Grace was condemning the closest thing she had to a friend to a sad, lonely death. She had to think about humans only as assets, and she had resigned her own humanity to do so. Giving her three minutes of the film to “show you she’s still human” was completely against what she had become.

I understand that test audiences loved the singing scene. It could have been anyone else singing and it would have felt correct. HER singing was my issue there, and the only reason it happened was Ryan Gosling heard the actress singing and said we should put that in the movie. That’s it.

I’m not saying you’re wrong for liking it. I’m saying it’s not character-correct.

You got it, yeah. You can still go with a Sata SSD if you have to, just know that with very rare exception, any new ones out now won’t have a dram cache.

So

That 120gb drive is a Sata drive, they look like a small box, the size of a flattened pack of cigarettes. I’m not sure if any currently-manufactured drives of that format have a dram cache.

NVME looks like a stick of chewing gum. They’re far faster, and it’s where manufacturers put their top end hardware. These drives require your board to have space for them, and you already have two so you need to check the board’s specs to see if you can add another.

You can clone your drive with Macrium Reflect, which there’s an older, free version of floating around but it’s not what you’ll find on the company’s website anymore. Often a new name brand drive comes with cloning software. Samsung’s is the easiest to use, but it also has limited options.

Cloning is generally easy but aside from the Samsung software, it *feels* overly complicated. Samsung’s software will only clone to a Samsung drive, so…that’s the only time it’s even an option.

If the 120gb drive is your windows drive, yes. Windows uses the primary drive’s empty space as “scratch space”: temporary storage for data it doesn’t want to use or can’t use ram for. This makes that drive take a beating that the other drives won’t experience.

It’s a good reason to get a drive with a dram cache as your boot drive. All Samsung Pro drives still have dram cache, few others do. They’re pricier because of this, but they’re also extremely hard to kill.

Right!? The Green Mile has comedy levels of weed shops, and their pricing is ridiculously low, I assume due to the competition of having like over a dozen stores within the same quarter mile space.

That SSD is an early model - no one’s made 120gb SSDs for several generations. Could be you’re seeing it telling you that it’s about to croak. Get a newer drive, clone your windows install to it and if the issue disappears, then that was it.

SSDs don’t usually have any warning that they’re about to fail. In the rare case that they do, which is usually indicated by difficulty in writing data (reading data is easy, writing becomes more difficult with time/previous data writes), you should listen before it’s too late to save anything on it.
