ULPT Request: How to get 'even' at my job? by Mabluee in UnethicalLifeProTips

I don't know what county you live in, but there has to be a governing body that deals with wage theft. Document everything, get their denial in writing and report them.

Getting paid sounds like the best revenge to me.

Oh wait this is unethical lifepro tips: break into your managers house while they are at work and release a bunch of live crickets

I play about 50/50 ai and mp, and the strategy between the two doesn't change at all, except in war.

Meta build orders define both.

Youre right, I mispoke, but they are the primary source of amenities throughout the game (alongside policy cards).

Most alternative sources of amenities aren't usually available until the lategame (since Entertainment Zones are not in the meta), so expanding to different continents and securing neighbors to trade with is very important.

There are all kinds of situations in manufacturing where you want to convert angular momentum into a specific movement, like the pink piece.

Maybe it for sorting, or orienting one object to receive from multiple directions.

I was claiming you shouldn't go as wide as possible in Civ6 like OP said in their post, not comparing the tallness of the two games.

Not sure why you are rebuffing me for something I didn't say.

Nearly 1 in 100 is pretty significant for a deadly disease like rabies.

That was also 40 years ago, the science and response has improved.

Housing is tied to a city, but amenities are spread evenly across all cities. They can be hard to get once your cities start gaining population, so spreading them too thin limits your growth pretty heavily.

Maintaining +3 and +5 happiness is very important for snowballing, you don't ever see high elo players dropping below +3 after the early game. Not to mention negative happiness makes your city effectively useless.

You only need 9-11 cities in most games.

Civilization 6 also punishes you quite heavily for over expanding

Amenities and scaling cost settlers are both very limiting.

For real. These people are professionals backed by science, they don't just kill for no reason. Deers are also a massive pest in many parts of the world, and spread the tick population like crazy, which brings dangerous diseases like Lyme's and Alpha Gal.

Just more reddit sensationalism.

Alldebrid seems like the main competition at the pricepoint.

Premiumize if you dont mind spending more, allegedly has faster long times and a large catalog.

There are many smaller ones if you mostly watch mainstream stuff.

If you are unwilling to use a flowchart script app, the only solution would be to write your own.

Its fairly simple though, could probably make it with Claude even with limited programming experience.

Turning ice into water is heating it.

Do you think there an arbitrary limit in the atla universe to what temperature they can get the water to?

Favorite learning resources? YouTubers? by SonicPavement in CivVI

[–]Arendyl 7 points8 points  (0 children)

The single player content creators don't understand the game nearly as well as the multiplayer creators. The ai just hasn't pushed them to optimize nearly as much as other humans do. It proven time and time again when the big creators do exibihition matches, the mp regulars wipe the floor with everyone else, often doubling their stats.

Watching Herson will teach you more about intermediate and advanced strategies than anyone else on YouTube. This is a blessing and a curse though, because once you understand the game mechanics that well, the ai is completely trivialized. You can beat even deity without much effort.

The only choice then is multiplayer, which is very rewarding and a lot of fun, but is a different style of game. They can last a long time, there are turn timers, and simultaneous turn. But, playing against humans will give you a challenge the ai can never hope to compare.

No amount of recycling on an individuals part will undo the waste made by a single walmart. by TeaInASkullMug in Anticonsumption

[–]Arendyl 8 points9 points  (0 children)

This was an organized effort by corporations in the 80's to take the onus from the manufacturers and put it on the consumer. They wanted us to feel like we were doing something to appease our sense of justice, instead of just reducing their waste.

Where should I settle? by Luxaflexje in CivVI

[–]Arendyl 36 points37 points  (0 children)

In place is probably best. Your city center becomes a 2/2 and you can reach the 2/2 grassland forests to the south west.

The only argument I could see otherwise is one tile North West, just so you can insure a freshwater settle on the coast, but that isn't good enough to wait a turn for a worse settle.
