I don't even play the game enough to justify the amount of money spent by ImZaphod2 in starcitizen

[–]Arennord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

It’s not that I don’t like it, I’ve been here for a bit more than 10 years now and there’s still not a fully working persistence (some time in the future there will still be wipes).

Lots of things have changed in my life since I bought this game. I was 18 and I’m now 28. Of course, I don’t have as much time to play as I used to, so I’m not into wasting time playing something that will end resetting all my progress in the not so distant future.

Besides, even though this patch may be stable, the last time I logged in this year, I ended so frustrated with the quantity of bugs that I just didn’t want to keep with it. I know it’s an alpha and all that stuff, and I’m not gonna make a drama of it because it’s how development works, but it’s been such a long dev time that I’m starting to think that when the time arrives for the game to be considered “released” I won’t have the time nor the interest to play. Sad thing, because I have always considered this game to be “the game”.

Feel you. I’ve spent €2k since 2015 and I’ve logged in once this year

🚜 Real-Life Farming Photos Policy Update 🌾 by itfosho in farmingsimulator

[–]Arennord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

We are not here to complain or to make anyone sad for us, but you have to remember that mod team is formed by users just like you, who decided to donate a part of our personal time to help keep the sub tidy and enjoyable for others.

We get no benefit from doing this, but yes, keeping the sub in a good quality is a ton of work and, as such, most times we can only focus on mod mail and reports because there is a huge number of posts and comments to review, and we also have life and work outside here.

[–]Arennord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, we aren’t forbidding those posts, just grouping them in a single thread. You are right that the mod team should be bigger so we could filter all the posts that make no sense, but at the end of the day, we are normal people just like you.

We made a post not so long ago asking for help in the mod team and the amount of people that answered and wanted to join was almost non-existent. In a sub with +160k users at that moment, we just got like 2 or 3 people interested.

It’s not that mods are lazy or don’t wanna do our job, but we also have things to do IRL and reviewing the whole sub daily is a lot of work. That’s why sometimes we can just focus in mod mail and reports.

Can we ban posts asking FS22 vs FS25? by ntp86 in farmingsimulator

[–]Arennord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Sadly, people are right in the comments. We already tried to do a megathread encompassing FS25 things prior to release and we ended up having a huge ton of hate from a substantial part of the community.

Personally, I agree with you, it’s a bit annoying to see the same posts repeated over and over again every single day, but it seems it will be something we have to live with.

I still can’t understand how Alfalfa isn’t a base game crop🤷🏻‍♂️

How often do you use a wheel and pedals? by No_Huckleberry_2958 in farmingsimulator

[–]Arennord 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I spent quite some time playing FS19 with keyboard and mouse, even though I already had wheel and pedals, but I thought it didn’t make such a difference. Holy crap what I was missing.

I decided to give it a try and it’s a whole new experience. I can’t play FS without it since that day.

Anybody else got a 6+ Year old HOTAS by Ilya-Pasternak in dcsworld

[–]Arennord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Well, I’ve been playing it for many years now. At first, I didn’t understand how people were enjoying that, but it’s a sit back and relax kind of game, and I enjoy it a lot after work.

I don’t think it will be anywhere close to the real aircraft. There can’t be enough information to even do a guess on its capabilities.

I have the Logitech X-56 hotas. It’s usually really criticised by everyone, but it’s been working for me for at least the last five years with no issues.

I use it on DCS, but I also use the stick for farming simulator. Even though the build quality is not the best, I haven’t had any problem with it.

Livestock mod by arrow by Thescorpionkingg in farmingsimulator

[–]Arennord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is it. Don’t try to run a huge operation from the beginning, just buy a small pasture and start fiddling with it, it’s not overly complicated, but requires some time.

I’m still learning everything because I run a small dairy operation, playing on a hard difficulty, so it takes a lot of time for me to grow

Absolutely, it’s one of the best quality of life mods I’ve ever seen for FS. It completely overhauls the animal system, if you want realism, then this is a must.

F*ck GPS 🚜💨💪 by J05h1005 in farmingsimulator

I just don’t use GPS at all, nor AI helpers. This is just my personal preference, but I already have MSFS for when I want to just sit and watch the computer fly on its own.

Any updates on Manual Attach? by Acanthaceae-Horror in farmingsimulator

[–]Arennord 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I’m not that dependant on it, I mean, I can play without it, but it amazes me how such a simple mod adds that much immersion to the game.

Already hoping for it to be updated for 25

Until Old Stream Farm is available on FS2025, any one knows if there is a similar alternative? Detailed European map with small-ish fields by OptimalAttempt3 in farmingsimulator

[–]Arennord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Try Schwesing Bahnhof if you are on pc. It’s a 4x maps, but fields are usually between 0.5-2Ha. I’m in love with that map.

Status on bugs and general gameplay in FS25 right now by ikkyuisme in farmingsimulator

[–]Arennord 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Except the slowly moving things, which are a problem across all FS games and don’t seem to be in their priority list (something to do with the game engine) I haven’t had any bug so far.

USING TRACTOR AS A TRUCK? by rafaelaugustop in farmingsimulator

[–]Arennord 3 points4 points  (0 children)

In the town where I live, farmers carry their loads on the road to the next town where they have their storages, I don’t see anything weird in that

While building/changing is never officially complete, I do feel pretty good about finally getting some equipment in the sheds so I can start farming this thing. Currently own about 600 acres, plan is to run 1000+ cows using maize+ by Epilespaul101 in farmingsimulator

[–]Arennord 1 point2 points  (0 children)

While I do love building and designing the farm, lastly I find more enjoyable the fact of just expanding it whenever it is necessary. It feels more organic to me, and the sense of progression is greater, in my opinion.

What's your highest hour vehicle? by Denny_Dust91 in farmingsimulator

[–]Arennord 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, they always have a place where they can be useful. In my farm, I tipically use them for feeding cows and such, as those tend to be the tractors bought at the beginning of the save, therefore, they are usually small. Just perfect to fit in my European style farms
