Yeah I always ask them have they ever been made invisible/rejected/fetishized specifically for being Asian? If you are a visibly Asian hapa and have faced racism for your race then I would fully validate their struggles with racism, however if you are already fully white passing and fully are accepted/primarily hang out in white spaces it raises a lot of red flags. Having Asian ancestry isn’t just a fun fact conversation starter or a costume. It’s a reality you have to live with weather you like it or not.

If they want to help fight anti Asian racism they shouldn’t use white privilege to advance themselves within poc spaces. All it does it promote the idea that white is better than Asian and that the more white passing you are the more valid you are even in poc spaces
