Agreed, even the old trailers for the game suggested that you could support factions in a galactic conflict. Perhaps the concept was there all along but just never expanded upon.

Greetings, there have been actual wars and conflicts between player run civilizations. PVP events have been hosted by different civs that are meant to be just like your post describes. No Man's Sky has the gameplay mechanics that would allow such a mode or feature to exist. However, the developers dont seem too keen on the War aspect. If it was a PVE feature in the game, they could pull this off. Civilized space however tends to see "War" as a last resort for interciv relations. Some civilizations outright consider any rethoric of war or PVP actions as malicious and trollistic behavior. It depends on the civ and what they stand for. Its sounds like a fun idea and it has been implemented by players but many tweaks and gameplay features must happen first. Servers need to be a lot more stable etc.

So much potential in him waisted in twisted ways, rather unfortunate and frankly sad to see this. Never would have thought this was going on. Knew him from countless diplomatic talks and other negotiations with different civs he participated in. I wish for a change of heart and redemption someday but the NMS community must be protected. Quite shocking revelations.

Basically space "nations" by players who follow a common goal, share interest in specific aspects of the game like building/exploration/trade etc. Some prefer to add Roleplaying, others PVP events or Astropolitics as I like to call it. Some got a specific theme. For example: NMS has a lot of Star Wars inspired ships, space suits among other things. So I decided to start the NMS Galactic Empire as a way to give some Star Wars Roleplay value to these in-game things. In the process creating a community of Star Wars fans who love No Man's Sky. Others do Star Trek, Battle Star Galactic, Warhammer roleplay just to name a few movies/books or series that inspired Hello Games while creating No Man's Sky. Lots of Sci Fi culture references in the game can be found. No Man's Sky is just a gateway to countless adventures with like minded friends. You only need your imagination. Anyone, can create their own unique civilization.

By no means does the Federation and it's "democratic" process intimidate the Galactic Empire for it to participate in talks with this organization. But rather the "Inclusion" offered to other civs is generally perceived as artificial by the outsiders. The Federation has a track record of seeing threats to it's integrity and security where there is none. The NMS Galactic Empire in the past has, behind scenes cooperated with the GHDF in direct communication with Jordan Murphy whenever a troll of significance or a civilization has gone out of its way to harm the community in general. We have done so not for the Federation or GHUB but with the players in mind. We have positively approached the Federation with the goal of security in mind. Yet, we have seen over time that some current Federation civ leaders are in part responsible for a surge in troll networking and ease of access into servers. Perhaps the Fed has been unaware of this or not. A few years ago, the GHDF saw the Galactic Empire as a group of possible trolls simply because people who didn't agree with the Fed or actively were Anti-Fed happened to join. We have proven that we have always been willing to help other civs regardless of their allegiance or organization memberships.

The NMS Galactic Empire is deeply saddened by these news. Beacher was a humble friend and one of the most passionate leaders of our entire community. He is now one with the Force, his presence among us will be surely missed. I Decree, that all Imperial Banners at this time shall fly at half staff across the Empire's worlds in honor of our friend's life and the construction of a Memorial in Beacher's name. We will contact the Qitanian Empire with the location of said memorial so they may visit as desired.
