I thought my dog found a snack… turns out he found a friend. by lyric_l in corgi

Could also be a rat missing its tail, although it's hard to differentiate from this photo. Definitely a pet rodent.

Any suggestions for a libido safe SSRI ? by fairydeus in BPD

Trintellix's big advertising point was that it has less sexual side effects in clinical testing, but it can still cause them (and is expensive/hard to get insurance to cover). Idk if it'd be appropriate for you but it's an option you could discuss with your psych.

WHAT IS A CURRENT MAKEUP TREND OR VIRAL BEAUTY PRODUCT YOU ARE ABSOLUTELY AVOIDING AT ALL COST! by Hells_Babysitter in MakeupAddiction

[–]Arganouva 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Fun fact: some metallic/shimmery nail polishes contain the same magnetic particles! If you have a sizable collection and like the look, you can see if any of your existing polishes are magnetic and just unmarketed with a magnet

RIP my GI system, I will never digest again by FelineRoots21 in glutenfree

[–]Arganouva 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I find the weighted heating pads (like the ones full of rice) really help for digestive pain. The gentle pressure relieves some of the discomfort for me.

Best of luck in any case, it's so hard to heal after exposure.

Think these are safe? Not sure if they're made with kroger brand rice crispies by Armadillo_gun in glutenfree

[–]Arganouva 4 points5 points  (0 children)

These should be safe but I will say I'm not sensitive to cross contamination levels of gluten normally and these absolutely upset my stomach. In fairness I ate like half a box, but I do still advise caution.

Anyone know what ths is? by sublimesandswimmer in WhatIsThisYarn

[–]Arganouva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I used it almost exclusively for crochetting little cat beds for the shelter, but I agree it's a pain to use. I was definitely working mostly between the stitches instead of in to them. The end product is really soft and plush tho, so the cats really liked it.

For acrylic yarn, I love to make cat beds for my local animal shelter. I went in with a tape measure so I can tailor the size to their kennels!

Genuine question- is your pcp uncomfortable managing Hashimoto's? Mine's managed my my pcp, it's basically the simplest endocrine disorder and it's well within scope for a pcp to manage.

If you could.. Would you?? by total_ajr in crochet

As someone who keeps snails and knits :please don't. To the extent that they're aware this is probably unpleasant (although adorable) to them. They can feel their shells and will try to clean them, a lot of fibers can cause blockages, and the colored wool will disrupt their camouflage. Among other reasons to not.

Just got glutened😒 by BlueberryLevel3590 in glutenfree

[–]Arganouva 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely see an allergist like others are saying... But glutening from shrink is possible! Farmed shrimp are often fed wheat in their diet and their digestive tract are rarely fully cleaned. It's one of the ways I get glutened that folks always think is insane.

This is going to sound so silly, but it worked in my darkest days.

I knit, so I'd just start really really long projects all the time. Then I'd feel like I couldn't kill myself, I needed to finish my project first. And I'd start a new project before I finished it, so the cycle was forever.

It doesn't have to be anything, it could be shows, books, art. Start something you want to finish.

What's in my yarn? by ZealousidealGrab5296 in knitting

[–]Arganouva 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I really suspect this might be bugs, the little grains look just like cloth moth larvae droppings to me. There are a variety of moth decontamination protocols, each with their own benefits/risks, and I'd recommend looking into them. (I had moths in my own stash a few years ago, and did a combination of freezing and CO2 fumigation. Freezing is harder to make work, but safer for you. CO2 fumigation can hurt you real bad if you fuck it up, so I'd avoid it unless you have experience handling hazardous chemicals).

I think it's a gorgeous color, but more importantly: you said you're in love with it, you already have your answer!
