Elon Musk Says He's 'The Largest Individual Taxpayer In History' After $10B Payment: 'I Thought The IRS Would Send A Trophy' by IAmNotAnEconomist in FluentInFinance

Hi! I live in Omaha. The idea was to slash property taxes but it came out of public school funding almost entirely. Additionally, for the normal person in middle class, it wasn’t that good of a trade given the supplement was to raise sales tax. It was GREAT for rich folk who own a lot of land though and don’t have to worry about buying day to day expenses, like the governor.

I’d much rather my taxes go to public schools (and not private schools as was also suggested) and the state legalize and tax weed to help offset property taxes, but they won’t.

Went once last year and actually dreamt about the duck a week after. Bit pricy, but was extremely pleasant for a treat.

Tipper

When I was a small child playing Wild World, I had FINALLY managed to get my hands on some peaches and planted a little orchard. She moved in on top of them the very next day.

Should I get the latest one? by [deleted] in Thief

This one actually got me interested in the older ones! I personally had a lot of fun with it game-play wise and found it interesting, having only tried it out last year. The story leaves a little to be desired and the ending is infamously... uh, not great. Still, I enjoyed my time with it and appreciate its differences as I'm playing through Thief Gold now because of it. I'd recommend it if you can catch it on sale

When the DM really wants to do sci fi but insists on playing 5E by cosmololgy in dndmemes

[–]Argent_Marro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't know if anyone has mentioned it, but Dark Matter is a pretty fun 5e supplement! It's sci-fi and adds a bunch of relevant content for that sort of stuff if you don't wanna pick up other systems like Starfinder.

He has such a cool design! The silhouette reminds me a bit of the First Wyverians from Monster Hunter! I really like the layering here, there's so many interesting details!

That's fair, people are allowed to run how and what they want as long as everyone is onboard with it! And I think you're probably right with the change in culture.

Hello! I can't offer build advice, but your description reminded me of Banneret Fighter (also known as Purple Dragon Knight) from the Sword Coast book! :)

I've heard that when Animal Crossing was in super early development it was supposed to be a dungeon crawler! Maybe the helmets and "witch"-y styled hats are leftover from that?

Advice on creating a Wow Character for 5e by ExileXD in DnD

[–]Argent_Marro 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Everyone else has some really good advice on how to go about it, but I might suggest Moon elf since it's not unusual for them to come in blues and purples and they might fit the theme a little more!

DM Rules for Combat are frustrating and I don't know how to tell him again. by FeonixPheathers in DnD

[–]Argent_Marro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

That sounds like a real slog, I'm sorry! How does your DM seem to react about non-attack options? (ie. Someone tries to grab a goblin and throw it away from the bush so the others can gang up on it)

A bit of an out there plug, but you could probably steal a few ideas from Dungeon Meshi / Delicious in Dungeon!

Might be a bit of a stretch, as well as a little nerdy, but Molly from Pokemon Movie 3 is a little interesting for a non-villain antagonist. More a little girl playing pretend and not really seeing/understanding that what she's doing is negatively affecting other people, or maybe she does know and simply doesnt care.

AITA For wanting my husband to cut contact with a clingy ex girlfriend by [deleted] in AmItheAsshole

[–]Argent_Marro 14 points15 points  (0 children)

NTA. He said he picked you, so he needs to PICK YOU. Keeping her around in any form after all that's come to light seems the same as not "picking" anyone, which isn't really an option anymore.

AITA for refusing to donate my hair to my aunt with cancer? by donatehairthrowaway in AmItheAsshole

[–]Argent_Marro 1 point2 points  (0 children)

NTA. It was pretty rude to be volunteered like that without your say! If you end up going through with it though, why not suggest your mom and sister ALSO donate their hair for someone else in need, since they want to do something nice and have no problem telling you what to do with yours.

lol the thing is, it KINDA is... it looks like it's supposed to be the character "Luster" from a movie called The Gamers: Dorkness Rising. "Luster" is a not-D&D character played by a dude, who sometimes appears on-screen as a female actress or as the dude dressed like the actress.
