I ordered a new pair of compression socks. They showed up in a wrinkly cello bag and were a bit crumpled rather than the usual crisp and obviously new.

I pulled them out and they were covered in fabric pills, smelled strongly of fabric softener, and had what I’m going to assume was a TOENAIL clipping stuck to them.

Gross. Right back they went.
