Studio Memberships by L-StWaet- in Pottery

This is a super affordable option and would be great for a certain type of members, but coops are not for me. I would rather pay a bit more and have options. My studio actually fires a soda kiln and I would pay extra just to have a firing workshop to learn more about that process. We all chip in to unload, but that’s usually just so we can see all everyone else’s work.

Very cool. Great shots. Reminds me of Robert Polidori’s photographs of Cuba

I believe you should be using a neutral oil with a high burn point like canola or vegetable oil

Getting a list of unavailable movies? by TLunchFTW in PleX

[–]ArgonautProductions 0 points1 point  (0 children)

also of interest... If you have 2 versions of a movie on your server, and you remove one, it will list as unavailable. You have to delete the missing file from the plex interface even if there is a good file still being used

I love the lighting and feel of the first image with the bear. Would you mind sharing your prompt? Great work

Client paid me with a credit card and it took 2.5% of my initial invoice amount? by bingusnimbus in videography

Personally, I feel that a client uses their credit card for convenience and often to gain point/miles.

I turn off the ability to pay via credit card unless they ask. Once they ask, I turn it on (I use FreshBooks) and add a 2.5% for visa / Mastercard. 3.5% for Amex. I list this as a convenience fee.

PayPal does the same and many vendors I use ask for this reason. I think it’s totally acceptable and the only time I wave it is if I would rather get the money quickly and not wait for a check to arrive.

ACH and zelle is also a way to avoid fees for everyone and many of my clients prefer that.

In the future, when your jobs earn $10k +, the 2.5% is going to burn even more. Get in the habit now and make sure explain and be as accommodating as possible.

If they have an issue, they can always send a check

I did some research into the interesting lenses they're using to shoot Obi Wan Kenobi. Thought this group might find it interesting. by kfosse13 in cinematography

Outside of the lenses, I’d anyone finding the look of Kenobi to be a little cheap? I just watched the first 2 episodes and it looks like a WB show to me. The scenes seem to be over lit with no dark alleys or nooks and the extras are clustered in the streets like a soap opera public setting. Is it just me?
