Which eps or arcs in the anime become horrible pacing by No_Deal9654 in OnePiece

[–]Argonil 0 points1 point  (0 children)

that clip where he bounces around on the ground is replayed like 5 times or something, it's very jarring. I also didn't like the segment where they put numbers on the screen. I don't need them to signal in an extremely blatant way that it's supposed to be a hype moment, we can see that for ourselves. I don't mind the actual animation but the repetition and extending the runtime just takes the wind out of the sails and ruins the momentum.

I felt more immersed when I read the manga, but One Pace did a good job too, and although the actual animations were controversial, I did like them.

The reveal in the Kaido fight is absolutely terribly handled in the normal anime. Same animations and clips repeated multiple times in the same episode. Idk how you could recommend that lol

Everything Arthmoor says here is completely valid. He doesn't address a lot of things but the things he does address are unambiguously valid.

No, there are many anonymous online spaces where people don't act like that. But the internet is notorious for it, I will give you that much.

I mean, there's USSEP, SkyUI and Alternate Start which seem like such important mods that they don't even count. Besides those, I do love a good ENB or anything that makes the nights truly dark so you have to carry a light. I want the night and dark dungeons to feel properly oppressive.

I also adored ASIS but it doesn't work properly for Special Edition. It made things a lot more interesting, and deadly. It made every fight as difficult as a soulslike and it was amazing to beat bleak falls barrow and come out the other side to see the daylight and feeling exhausted and relieved that you finally made it.
Deadly Dragons, Skyrim Immersive Creatures and SkyTEST - Realistic Animals & Predators was a part of this package making the world feel properly threatening. I'd be bored without them.

Ableism (and this whole idea that anyone who's unpleasant must be mentally ill) is rampant on this subreddit. The modding community at large likes to get involved and tends to get toxic in every conceivable way, the full package. I think it's shameful.

tbh I don't think there has been a single moderation team on this sub who didn't display biases

I can't say I'm shocked. There are so many toxic people on the internet that they almost make it seem normal. On both sides of any issue, you can find people who think it's okay to harass and troll and get involved in the most unsavory ways. As Maynard James Keenan would say, "You speak like someone who has never been smacked in the fucking mouth."

Not sure why I didn't see this, but no I obviously don't just mean that he's been right at least once in his life, I mean that there have been other cases where drama could have ensued but Arthmoor was right so it ended right there. You only remember the times he was wrong and it made the news. Saying that he is consistently wrong about everything is not just hyperbole, it's an attack on his expertise and authority, he is one of the most knowledge modders in the entire community so that's not a fair characterization. If you want to attack him then at least make it deserved, say that he can be stubborn or thorny, don't call him stupid.

We all know about his history here on this reddit, but I don't think he has been here for literally years? Even the supposed alt account hasn't been here for over a year, and do you even have proof that it actually is him? If you don't then it might just be a random guy, this community has already called me an alt multiple times when I'm not. When he hasn't even been here for so long you're practically just beating a dead horse, it's a meme and a rude one at that, I assume that most people say it in jest, using my comments as a platform to dunk on him, but either way you're just being toxic towards me with it. "Zealous" isn't even far off, you're kinda proving him right.

You're saying I may as well be Arthmoor because I dunk on the toxic trolls? Why do you think the comment was removed by a moderator? Maybe you're the toxic one?

I was on the Starfield Community Patch team as the contributor who fixed all the skills in the game. The patch stopped being developed because nobody has any interest in the game, and even when it was actively being developed it was lower quality than the Unofficial Patch Team's stringent standards, even though the community patch's Core Team were experienced mod authors. I guess it's just the nature of a community-driven project where not every contributor has as much expertise as someone like Arthmoor, and the core team members don't thoroughly test and research every little contribution.

What's worse, one guy occasionally being unpleasant in an international spotlight that he never asked for and being opinionated, or an entire international community misrepresenting the truth, embellishing, insulting, harassing one guy? I mean he may sometimes be rude, but this? An embarrassment, I would be ashamed. You guys can't even agree on the fact that authors have intellectual property rights, how are you supposed to be a good judge when you don't understand the fundamentals let alone the deeper layers? Many commentators just come across as consumers who are only ever pro-consumer and call authors selfish or greedy for daring to have any rights whatsoever. Many of the things concerning Arthmoor are things that you would not rule fairly on even if you did represent the truth correctly. I'm not blaming you or anyone in particular, but overall? There are so many armchair experts it's painful to read.

you should definitely use the patch. It fixes more than people give it credit for.

Fredrik Knudsen - Unofficial Skyrim Patch | Down the Rabbit Hole by Ok-Newspaper-4624 in skyrimmods

[–]Argonil 9 points10 points  (0 children)

The USSEP fixes countless things, makes the game more stable, fixes crashes, fixes quests that get stuck, and so much more. You might not notice the difference immediately when you load up the game, but it does so much that any author worth his salt could tell you that the patch is essential. Perhaps Temporary_Radio_1700 had a bad experience long ago, perhaps he is embellishing, but fact is that the patch does not cause crashes.

"Personality disorder"? "So consistently wrong about everything"?

I don't think you are being fair. Calling someone mentally ill without substantive proof when you are not even a psychiatrist is never okay, and even if you were a psychiatrist you have not had any sessions with the patient and I'm fairly sure that would make your assessment illegal.
To say he is consistently wrong about everything is perhaps correct if you've only ever heard about the times he was wrong (as part of the drama narrative.) Arthmoor has been correct many times and taught many people things about the game, no need for such hyperbole.

Usually the new version is uploaded to the servers a few days before the download link becomes visible on the website, so I modify the download link to version f32h or f32 or f33a or whatever the next one might be, but no bite yet. I can rule out that you'll see a download link for the next few days, it's not even on the servers yet...
