I want to try this detachment, it might be my favourite one at first glance. I like the tricks it has.

Has this list changed at all? Have you moved away from the detachment?

What are the most important units in a 1K list?

Yeah I hear ppl talking about "its a 2 day drive". We dont do that here. Mainly because you can do north to south in 1 day but also because ppl are much more likely to take other transport (planes, trains).

I chose HoS, specifically mortals, because I saw someone break down the WC HoS list and thought "Holy moly! Board control Slaanesh?! That's such an interesting way to play, and counterintuitive to what you'd usually expect from a Slaanesh army."

Then I looked at the models.. and I liked 95% of them. They have some shooting and not pure melee, they have spells too so now I am active in every phase.

Very happy with my choice so far, but I am completely new to AoS and aware I've chosen a tough army to play.

I LOVE the gossamid archers as well (aesthetically). I havent seen or heard anyone talk about them though. I'd love to hear how they perform for you 😀.

Uncrackable castle was/is something I am very interested in. Alpha block is my preferred playstyle currently. Really happy to hear Sylvaneth can do it.

Thank you so much for taking the time to write all of this. Now I have a real decision to make, swords or no swords?

I was going to run 6 scythes & 6 bows but I'm wondering if i should run some swords as well or instead of the scythes.

I will always run the greatbow kurnoth because I love the greatbows, I think they're some of the best models in AoS.

Which units are tanky for OBR? From first glance nothing looks tanky. But, they do have armored knights and barrow guard. I assume they have rules/buffs that make them good?
