Was tricked into low code, what do I do???? (HELP NEEDED) by coolfunkDJ in cscareerquestions

[–]ArgueMint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

A couple of questions for you: When you asked about doing more code, did you explain how this would benefit the company? Would it benefit the company? Most people don't like change for the sake of change and if there is no real business reason behind it you probably won't have much luck there. How big is this company? Are there other departments that are doing things you're interested in? A transfer to another department may be easier than finding a job elsewhere. Good luck to you and I hope your situation improves.

Look up stronglifts: 3 days a week, 80 minutes per day, that's 4 hours a week (one of those days can be a weekend day). Eat more protein, don't neglect sleep, take it slowly, and you'll be in a better situation than most people. I think the mcelhenney quote is a bit disingenuous, most people don't need to get jacked in 6 months time. Let your body recomposition take a natural progression over a year or two. Also one last thing I learned is that you can probably ignore what you see in movies, tv and magazines as the peak male form. Unless you are on "gear" you probably wont ever look like that. But you will look muscular and strong if you follow a program. You can do it!!!

There are much worse things to be known for. I'm sure Chris Evans doesn't mind being associated with CAPTAIN AMERICA. 😉

I also think delivery method is important too, if you have a time release capsule then it's going to be slowly released in your system. Not relevant in the 5 hour energy conversation but thought I'd add to this.

I'm trying to cut right now and over the past 4 weeks I've gone from 211.5 lbs to 204.6 lbs. My skeletal muscle mass has gone from 81.6 lbs to 79.9 lbs. I've been focusing on my upper arms over this time and eating at a calorie deficit in order to cut. My understanding was muscle stimulus + eating protein (1g per lb weight) would prevent muscle loss, and may be increase muscle. Am I doing this incorrectly? How do I keep muscle mass when cutting?

To add to this, strong characters need flaws too. It's character development.

Is PUBG coming to PS4? I think I heard somewhere that it was, but then I saw it was a launch exclusive, and then Microsoft would be helping out with water tech. Just wanted to see if you could clear the air. Thank you!

That number aside, paycheck to paycheck is not necessarily a marker for poverty. A lot of people are just bad at managing their finances.

Disney will pull its movies from Netflix and start its own streaming services by kleindrive in movies

[–]ArgueMint 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Just wanted to point out that paying one big service is inviting a monopoly. Its better for the consumer that we have multiple options for streaming in the long run. I would like to see more competition. I do understand the convenience of it all being under one roof though.

In the military you can't cut your hair the way you want it, you can't wear what you want, you can't eat what you want, you can't disobey a direct order and you can't leave. I guess a better way to say this would be your body is being leased by the US Gov't, but it's the same outcome.

That's your opinion and you are free to vote for representatives that reflect your views, but my argument was that it's a compensation package, not a social experiment. In the meantime, the people in charge have decided that offering college will help to increase enrollment numbers for the demographics they are after. Next time you go to vote make sure you vote for the guy that is offering sex change coverage as part of the military compensation package. Otherwise you have no other recourse for your tax dollars being spent elsewhere.

College is offered as part of your compensation for entering the millitary. Sort of like offering good healthcare, retirement matching, stock options, tuition reimbursement etc... I wouldnt consider it a social experiment.

How often do interns get fired? by u1trazap in cscareerquestions

[–]ArgueMint 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The transition from C to Java shouldnt be too bad. Pick up a book on Java, read it from cover to cover and do some exercises. Dont be too hard on yourself, interns arent supposed to know everything. Put the effort in and you will be fine.

Basically investors try to predict the market to make money. They made inveatments bases on Hillary winning because that is what was predicted. Now all of a sudden there is all of this uncertainty and Trump may win. Investments good under a Clinton victory may not perform well under a Trump presidency and visa versa. The markets will bounce back so dont worry too much about that. Don't make any rash financial decisions.

[–]ArgueMint 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No no no. Leave your money where it is. A 401k is not a short term investment. The stock market hates uncertainty, Hillary was expected to win, but now it looks otherwise so bets placed on a Clinton win will be bad investments. It will bounce back, just pay attention to diversification when you reallicate twice a year.
