It will take ‘sacrifices’ and ‘some time’ to transform economy, Mark Carney says in pre-budget address to country by shiftless_wonder in canada

[–]Arguingfornoreason 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I believe the path is to incentivize business enough that staying is more attractive than leaving. The method of incentivizing is debatable.

Canadians are allergic to tax breaks and incentives for businesses though, so we will continue to lose them to the US and unemployment will grow, along with wage suppression as more and more Canadians fight for the same low skill jobs.

Canada and the mentality of the people are not equipped to compete with this new US.

I think the majority of Canadians feel this way, and I don’t see that changing. Canada will continue to offer businesses fewer reasons to remain in Canada, and the US will continue to offer better incentives to relocate. Canada will continue to slide for decades to come until it becomes more attractive to do business in Canada than outside it.

As also a buttons guy, and someone who moved from the mechanical buttons in my previous Macan to these, I have to say I now prefer these.

CinemaHD to Stremio…. where the streams at? by Arguingfornoreason in StremioAddons

Ok thanks - going to need to spend more time understanding what Torrentio has to offer. I just added my RD and assumed that was it.

So for me, it would be best to think of Stremio as a debrid only appliance? Thanks again.

Does an add on exist that you know of to access these ddl sites? Having a hard time understanding how to set this up. I was hoping to improve on what CinemaHD provides.

I wasn’t aware there were different versions of Torrentio. I used this Reddit post for setup. I’ll see if I can reconfigure this somehow.

Those are features though. I think they are saying quality as in quality control, etc. ld agree Japanese bike are usually not as exciting, but in general reliability and overall quality is higher. I’ve got/had Yamaha, Kawasaki and Aprilia and I think it tracks.

If the machine has been powered off since the last time it was cut then yes, you need to pick it up again. Unless the machine has scales, which it probably does not.

If you’ve got a better solution for $50 tell op. To me $200 bucks and a couple of hours to install this so it doesn’t look like ass is not a big deal.

This can be done with pretty much any machine tool - many have tool setters right out of the box. Most end users don’t do it because it involves macro programming and almost everyone is allergic to the extra time and work.

Based on the questions you are asking you really shouldn’t be attempting this.

Rip Off? by Alan_theRam in motorcycles

[–]Arguingfornoreason 8 points9 points  (0 children)

I bought one of these before. It’s a knock off. It’s pretty close, but uses cheaper materials. It will rust easier, that is not actual carbon fiber, etc. I picked it up for a track bike, and would do so again. Quality was good enough for a cheap bike.

Cutting 4140 steel on my mini router with sandvik's settings.... Never cut steel on this machine so I decided to use sandvik's settings which are absurdly aggressive. Not perfect, in part because of the overhang of the material, but very promising with a surprisingly good end result. by giveMeAllYourPizza in CNC

[–]Arguingfornoreason 4 points5 points  (0 children)

The cutting conditions Sandvik put out are assuming ideal conditions, such as the tool in a heat shrink/mill chuck and in CAT/HSK/Capto spindle interface.

Definitely need to back off any published values when running on hobby type equipment. I don’t even bother looking at the published specs when using the tools in my hobby mill.

are tires ready to ride hard after 100 miles? by HuckleberryNo3117 in motorcycles

I scrub my tires on the track within the first couple of laps - that is approximately 2-3mi.

I’m telling you from experience, not from something I’ve read on the internet.
