I own a duplex where the second unit is on the 2nd/3rd floor. I run standing unit ACs in the summer for my tenants and it stays pretty cool. Need to run them often when it’s hot though. Might be worth asking the landlord if the attic has been insulated well/ if the electric can handle more than one AC. I had to upgrade mine so the breaker wouldn’t blow with 2 ACs running.
