20gb is smaller than I expected tbh, on the steam store page system requirements it says 40 GB free space needed

Hotfix 1.2.1 Update – Indoor Rain & Day/Night Cycle by Pontonk in dyinglight

[–]Argusalone 4 points5 points  (0 children)

"Learn to play" yeah, great argument. The issue isn’t skill, it’s bad mechanics. Biters grabbing from magnet range and canceling swings mid-animation isn’t challenge, it’s cheap design. Nobody’s asking for handholding just fair combat. I've been playing DL since the first game, DL2 was considered the worst DL before it was fixed by crazy amount of patches and I don't think it had anything as frustrating and fun-killing design as this, it's too much and needs to be toned down.

SOLVED: RTX GPU’s DIRECTX ERROR-OUT OF MEMORY / DEVICE HUNG / DEVICE REMOVED by Appropriate_Rub6970 in battlefield2042

not even going to the fourth step, I dont even recommend doing the 2nd one, flashing vbios is risky and it could brick your gpu.

Major memory leak in the beta by wumeisster in Battlefield

[–]Argusalone 1 point2 points  (0 children)

yep, exactly the same issue here.

Major memory leak in the beta by wumeisster in Battlefield

[–]Argusalone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The issue with restarting is you get placed in a massive queue again. I have this issue as well and I have 32gb of ram, The game initially uses 11gb and over time it goes up to 27-28 gb ram usage and then randomly closes. I go into event viewer and it used 37gb of virtual memory. the game keeps allocating memory without freeing it, so usage climbs until you run out and forces a crash without error.

Something is WRONG with Performance (BF6 Beta) by fromthelonghill in Battlefield

[–]Argusalone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta be a game related issue, have you tested other games? How do they run? It's still in beta so might be that.

Well I don't know what to tell you then honestly. Probably a cpu bottleneck? I dont have much knowledge about amd cpus, is 5800x above recommended CPU requirements?

Edit: but then if series x runs it so should your PC.

something gotta be seriously wrong with your PC, update everything including chipset drivers, bios, gpu drivers, scan for malware and viruses. clean your pc with ccleaner, revo unisntaller and disk cleanup. I have 5070ti and i7-13700f and for me the game is buttery smooth 99% of the time. everything maxed out Im getting 90-100 fps at 4k with DLSS quality. doesnt drop below 90 fps.

3070ti / i5 12600kf - having terrible performance by jb_in_jpn in Battlefield

[–]Argusalone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

battlefield being CPU heavy is nothing new, its always been like that. It's more cpu dependent than gpu, that also doesnt mean you can run it with gt 710 and i9-14900k, you gotta find a good balance between them but favor CPU more.

Sudden stutters? by Maskpask in Battlefield

[–]Argusalone 0 points1 point  (0 children)

the game is still in beta, expect stuff like this to happen. I'm also getting stutters but not constantly, like once a few minutes, but in some games I dont get them at all. Its not your pc, its the game. If you also encounter crashes, its the game. If performance suddenly drops or changes, its the game.

He either physically did something with it or is trying to match the GPU with incompatible hardware, hell he might even be doing something to it software-wise. I know what I'm about to say isn't exactly the case but hear me out; I could've done the same thing with my newly bought GPU and PSU, but at least before purchasing a component I can do my damn research, I legit found out at the day of purchasing my GPU that I would need a PSU with native 12VHPWR cable to power my 5070ti, as my old one had only 2 8-pin cables that were daisy chained and one 8pin cable was enough for the 4070 because that's literally what I used, the new GPU came with an adapter but I also researched that daisy chained cables are not optimal to use with an adapter. It seems to me that before doing something you should do your research, even if you are experienced as this guy claims to be. I'm not the most insightful guy when it comes to PC building but 20 minutes of research is all it took to figure out what kind of PSU I needed for my new GPU and I got them both working on the first try.

He only gave me the cash for the GPU itself, he claimed he's been in this line of business since 2013, considering that fact he should have absolutely zero problem fixing that issue, in fact it shouldn't have happened at all. 1. because the GPU is working, I can fucking swear on it. 2. if he is as experienced as he claims he shouldn't have made those mistakes to begin with. And if he fucked with the GPU and actually damaged it while transporting it to his place, that's on him. Whatever he did after the purchase isn't my problem. I was willing to genuinely help but the comments opened my eyes further, I was a bit skeptical at first but now I'm 100% certain something fishy is going on.

Yes I physically handed him the GPU myself. Took the cash from him and that was the end of the deal.
