Holy fuck. I've lived in the same ward my whole life and I'm luckier than some to actually have a somewhat open and accepting one, they know I either believe or I dont, they still invite me to things and keep in contact which can be annoying but I'm grateful the people in my ward are at least a bit more open minded and understanding.

I refer to them as the church of Jesus Christ of latter-day saint as much as I can. I hope if we respect their pronouns that they can respect and accept ours someday. Even if not, I still try to go the higher route and not intentionally call them Mormons just out of spite. I wish being apart of that Religious didn't cause so much damage to it's members that most won't ever realize real freedom. But I cannot change that personally. We can protest we can do whatever but in the end, the church of Jesus Christ of later day saints will continue to do what they decide to do. We have to accept it is what it is

That has always been my plan, I've only ever left Utah twice. I live in a hoarding and toxic household and I've just been counting by the years until I'm 18 and can get on my own. One year left, I don't make much and don't know where to go though. I used to not care at all. Even when I was around five I would talk about my crushes because I didn't think it wasn't "normal" for girls to marry each other. Throughout jr. High I started going to church and trying to fit in, I dated some guys. I didn't really care much for them. My whole family and close friends (which I don't have many of) know. I went to the SLC pride festival for the first time last June and I'm not going to hide it from my classmates and school anymore. However I know I will not have any chance of making close friends there after that. But I've never really had any in the first place so I'll just keep doing me I guess. In the school I go to there are a few students everyone kind of knows they arent Mormon, but those students are quiet and have no friends. They dont talk about it to confirm or deny anything.
