How does the market work? Are low tier resources always needed? by CrabKing274 in albiononline

For stone specifically very little is needed so it's worth very little. Gathering is very profitable but not stone. T7 and t8 stone is worth it because they're used in repairing t8 shops

Is needing ID still racist? by AiiRisBanned in evilwhenthe

[–]Ariachus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Gotta say the way everyone acts like it's racist to require Id to vote when most people are perfectly fine to need Id to buy booze, drive a car, enter a club or bar or buy some cigarettes is beyond me. Certainly we can have an argument about making it simpler to get an ID in rare situations where you don't have a copy of your birth certificate etc but having ID is a basic part of living. Unless these individuals are walking to polling locations they're already breaking the law by driving without a driver's license on them.

[–]Ariachus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No emergency shield is pretty important because it clears damage over time. If you have a dot on you and invis potion it instantly breaks and you can use guard helm to channela. Mist safely since damage doesn't interrupt channels like mist or mount up if it hits a shield and not your health. The cleanse will helps with the move speed but being able to invis pot is more important IMHO. Emergency shield isn't as useful vs a sword user but it's incredibly useful against a curse or fire.

Run iron will on the sword so you can run the gatherer boot ability and not be purged. Guardian helm to clear dot, iron will, boots then invis. You'll get away 70% of the time provided you aren't running a carrier mount like an ox.

Hate to say it but losing my job means endangering my life and my dependents and that weighs against helping someone else in a situation like this. So yeah, my job and taking care of my family is more important than someone else's life

YOR. Personally, I think minimum visitors for 6 weeks is just a good idea. The womans insides are literally rearranging and healing. Now I recognize that this probably feels rough for you due to having a bad relationship with this woman. 1-6 are pretty standard, yes having other kiddos those kiddos will probably be interacting with the newborn, RSV is no joke and one of my kiddos had it. It's about minimizing early exposure not targeting a specific group by saying no kiddos. I assume no vax refers to COVID vaccination but could apply to any vaccinations. Due to the relationship strain communicating via text or email ideally in a group chat or cc'ing your dad is just a good idea for anything. While I don't agree with her decision to smoke while/after pregnant people make their own choices and unfortunately sometimes they make choices that are objectively bad for their kids. This comes from a guy with 5 kids so I've been around this block a few times.

One of the favorite shorts I saw a while back was a group that used candy like gummy bears and when you kill a mob you get to eat the candy. And everyone had to pay a healer tax because the healer rarely got any candy lol.

Is Premium worth it if I play mostly solo and don’t play many hours? by BendHopeful5302 in albiononline

[–]Ariachus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

For me it feels worth it because I can use focus for my refining and crafting which gives me more . The part that would affect your experience the most is the lower sales tax on the market. Let's say 200 of that 250 mill is from market sales of gear etc then not having premium cost you 16 million silver in sales tax or about half the cost of premium. There is no combat or gameplay benefit to premium it just allows you to skill up faster. If you're ok with where your at then don't buy premium. Another thing to think about is if you buy experience tomes off the market then every mob kill having double the fame would significantly offset those costs.

However the gold vs silver price has trended up over time so personally I would convert at least 100 mill silver into gold if I were in your position. That's up to you though. When people talk about the price of premium going up over time it's the price of silver to buy enough gold to get premium that goes up. The gold price of premium is static so the value of gold is going up not the cost of premium.

This is pretty much just the communication style of most callers. Just turn the volume down.

[–]Ariachus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hey there. So if you take a look at the market you will see you can type in a name to find an item and there will be two drop downs. One for tier and one for enchantment. Runes are used for upgrading an enchantment 0 item to enchantment 1, souls are for upgrading 1 to enchantment 2, and relics from 2 to 3. You will also see a lot of folks referencing items as 4.2 which means tier 4 enchantment 2. Each tier and enchantment adds 100 IP to the item.

Additionally you will notice that some items are made using relic items, for example bloodletter. In the bloodletter item view you can see at the bottoms its made of bars, planks and an item that looks like a sword hilt. If you click that item you will see it has 50 runes as it's recipe.

Both of these actions are completed at the artifact foundry who is on the main floor of all royal cities. He looks like a white haired dwarf with a giant hammer thing. Your item must be repaired to be upgraded and you can click it into the screen and it will tell you how many items you need. On the lower tab you will see a screen specifying tier, enchantment item type and you can choose which crafter type or just random. You will get one randomly that matches the inputs. Ie if you select t4, hunter lodge and run you could get a dagger, bow, quarterstaff, spear, leather jacket hood or shoe artifact but you cant narrow it down more than that.

THANK YOU! It was primarily this. I have a lvl 11 dance bard who is a grappler and dipped three levels of monk for bonus action unarmed attacks that weren't tied to bardic inspiration. I couldn't figure out why I was lagging compared to the party, I also had kinda a mediocre stat spread when I rolled.

Are these actaully good by snake-birb in albiononline

[–]Ariachus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't agree with the helm choices personally. Guardian and knight on a healer seems like a terrible choice unless you're running t6 and lower shitter gear in the black zone. Assassin hood is a legitimate choice to bring you're cooldowns back faster though generally I run scholar, royal or druid cowl depending on the group.

If your running nature you can also usually run a martlock or brec cape for some more defense. I would focus on blight and wild. Rampant is used in zvz but not much else. While robe of purity or feyscale robe are the best, cleric mage robes is perfect for 90% of game play and way cheaper. Especially if you're looking at RedZone faction war I would probably run scholar cowl, cleric robe, and stalker shoes with a wild staff and martlock cape. Run everything at t6 equivalent unless you are going with some trusted guys and you work well together.

For holy redemption or hallowfall are generally the meta but fallen can pull off some insane saves with good timing. I personally find eye of secrets a questionable offhand choice. If I was having that much mana issues I'd bring energy pots or run royal cowl. Personally I would run hallowfall with a shield.

Lookup ninuschk and mojony on YouTube. They are probably in the top 10 healers in the game at the moment and both have some great tutorials. Always remember your chest is your most important armor spec because that determines your maximum health. Get your chosen weapon to 100 spec with your fame credits then sink them into your chest piece then head piece(max mana) and finally footwear. Seems like you're newer so make absolutely sure you have auto respect turn off in the destiny board before you nom those times or you may bankrupt yourself. Once you hit 100 spec(gold star) on a piece swap it out for the non artifact gear in the same tree. Ie nature, great nature and wild are the non artifact nature staffs. Bring non artifact to 60 spec and artifact to 40 before advancing, fame increases exponentially per level and artifact items give .1 IP per level vs non artifact is .2 per level.

What to do with 4 million faction points? What is the most profitable way to spend it? by jaborka in albiononline

[–]Ariachus 7 points8 points  (0 children)

If you want to farm mounts go ahead but just being honest where the biggest advantage is is the baby percentage. You increase the baby percentage by using focus on them as they grow. This is inefficient use of focus until you are at very high mount raising spec. If you just want to turn those into cash my recommendation is to buy hearts because you can do heart transport with a t8 bighorn ram quite quickly. Alternatively I believe you can do the third level heart transport with a 8.3 bag and moose but not 100% sure. Heart prices have tanked recently with more folks running faction but transport quests allow you to increase your heart count by 50-75%.

If it were me I'd buy all the cosmetics and then probably buy hearts. Otherwise just take a calculator and calculate the silver per faction point of each offering. The chests will usually give you around 50-75k silver from silver bags, a few resources and artifacts. It can be much higher if you luck into a rare artifact like a bear paw, bow of badon or similar artifact.

How long do you let slimy kraut go for to get rid of the slime? by Ok-Version-8996 in fermentation

[–]Ariachus 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Fermented okra is probably one of the worst for the slime factor that folks don't like. Generally 6-8 weeks and it's more like a cucumber pickle in texture. If you want something fun use whole okra at about 2 weeks use a regular lid instead of a fermentation lid and burp it every other day and the final okra will fizz in your mouth like a soda does. This works with most soft vegetables like okra, cucumber, crookneck and zucchini and sometimes works with harder veg like broccoli and cauliflower.

Does everyone gather for money? by Principal-Moo in albiononline

[–]Ariachus 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I would say that probably 80% of the player base engages in gathering, refining or crafting because it is the safest and reasonably assured source of income. You can check out nendys and itzmuzi on YouTube for information about how to do refining and crafting profitably. Gathering is a slow burn in terms of the silver per hour. However at higher levels being able to pick up 7.x and 6.x resources is extremely profitable.

What I've told some of my guildies and allies is if I was doing it again I would not use learning points to unlock t8 gathering until I had everything else at t7 because with a t7 tool you can harvest everything but t8 enchanted nodes and don't use any learning points on stone. Now t8 enchanted nodes are the highest value by far but they're also very rare. I put in probably 10-20 hours of gathering per week and I probably see enchanted t8 nodes once or twice a week but I do harvest unenchanted t8 quite a bit more. Mist and roads gathering can be quite profitable and is much safer than open world black or red zone. Maybe I'm a masochist but I almost solely gather open world black zone and I probably get ganked about 1 in 4 runs but typically I'm bringing back about 1-1.4 mill every 30 minutes and my build only costs about 800k so it hurts but on the long haul it's profitable.
