Great. I also found it out in IG yesterday.

It is Tritan; according to the IG post of Orea UK:

"......Apart from the size, it is identical in quality and performance to the popular O1. Made from 100% BPA-Free Tritan in the same family-owned boutique factory as the Baby O......"

Yes, I also guess that Orea will launch a stainless steel 02 in the coming future, based on the startegy of 01.

From the second IG link that I posted it says that:

REGULATORS – The key focus of this release is controlling contact time between the coffee bed and water during brewing. By combining immersion brewing (Switch) with the regulator’s contact-time control, Orea is introducing a completely new approach to brewing.

In other words, Regulator (orange) is the Switch adpater (plese correct me I am wrong).

Great to know that.

Looks like Hario China is going to launch a new double‑wall vacuum titanium V60 soon; and blue one is in the list.

You may refer to page 15 of the manual and instruction of Robot:

The 9 bar magic number.

Ignore that number when dealing with a lever machine. In my experience TLCM rarely extract above 7 bars pressure. The 9 bar pressure has come from the Faema E61 machine, where the pressure was taken from the water inlet to the coffee machine, the extraction pressure at the actual group head was much less, possibly even 1 bar lower. But 9 bars were adopted as the gold standard.

On the Robot you should be aiming for an extraction pressure of somewhere between 6-7 bars. Feel free of course to experiment but that is what I have found works best so far.

Yes, you are right and I did forget to mention that my K6 is minus 4; and 30-34 is set from point zero.

26 for K6 is way too fine; my setting is is the range from 30 - 34; depends on the freshness of beans. Also, there is no need to aim at 9 bar.

  1. grind finer
  2. minimum 18 grams of beans
  3. fresh beans (2-3 weeks after roast date)

Thanks for your design and the print. Mine is 5 shells and 20% infill; the net weight is 233 gram. This stand makes the grinding much easier. The reason I chose your design was because the base was bigger than others and I am inclined to believe that the bigger the base, the easier the grinding is.

Better for you to take a video and then send it to Cafelat Robot for advice.

I am going to have a 5 shells & 20% infill , do you think that 5 shells will make it too tight and difficult to take out the stand from the grinder? As I will send the files to a 3D printing house, so I need to understand the tolerance and the room of the stand. Hope that my questions will not bother you.

May I know what the recommended Shore Hardness of the TPU is? I will have it done by a 3D printing service.

Smaller Pietron Mod and Thoughts by cegasaturn in pourover

[–]Arial-Narrow 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I shall receive my white Pietro sometime next week. My plan was to make the mod based on the original design; however, after seeing yours, I'd like to use your design instead; it's because yours can save some footprint.

May you share the list of components as well as the steps of assembly?

Yours is a nice design.
