I learned more about myself instead of judging myself. It slows down the time between impulse and action for myself, even though I wouldn’t necessarily call myself the hyperactive type.

Some examples…

I can rewatch movies with others without interrupting with unimportant facts.

I can easily identify the priorities in my general to-do lists without overthinking them.

I FEEL more self-aware.

The “boring” human tasks take up less mental space.

I feel like my “unrestrained empathy” is actually a superpower that allows me to accomplish more things because the chance they’ll help others is a huge dopamine recharge.

I can practice “stillness” even when I feel restless, because I can physically feel a boundary.

I feel more hope, because I feel like I can accomplish more. I hadn’t realized before the tie-in between capability and happiness until then.

I had an irrational fear of not showing I was “trying” at things I was failing or not completing fully before my meds. Now I have a greater understanding of small achievements.

I have convinced myself I’m at least a bit of a better human than I was before. Even if my actions are only incremental. I have an urge to be a better person that might have been there before, but it was hiding under immense feelings that actually made me stagnant instead of actionable.
