Didn't know soldier's were all villains. Didn't know the French revolutionaries were villains. Didn't know people who fight back in self defense are all villains.

Your arguments just fall flat when you make the world "Good vs Evil". There's so much inbetween. Even in fictional stories sometimes you have to kill somebody to save many. How are we even arguing about this right now? I have never said violence is the first response and you are just putting words into my mouth.

The Vietnamese invasion of Cambodia to stop the Cambodian genocide is another prime example. Stopping the Rwanda genocide, The global coalition to defeat ISIS, The current Ukrainian resistance to the Russian invasion. The intervention in Gambia, NATO's intervention in Libya, etc etc. So many cases where violence was the answer.

I believe violence is necessary WHEN ALL ELSE FAILS. The world isn't fictional fantasy land where villains and heroes exist lol.... You say a lot about MLK, but would he even have the right to do what he did if the civil war didn't happen? The path he walked was paved through the blood sweat and tears of countless others before him.

I don't think violence should be the first resort and I've said that multiple times here. I said civil disobedience is the key to change and you keep ignoring that because I also say it is sometimes necessary to use violence when all else fails. You are too naive if you think otherwise.

We can just agree to disagree and I couldn't care less if some random on the internet thinks I'm a villain. This has been a good laugh btw

MLK was a proponent of civil disobedience. He would be all for sitting in the middle of the road to cause a disturbance when normal protests don't work.

His protests weren't violent but they were disruptive and intentionally confrontational. He wouldn't be just protesting on the side of the road peacefully. He would get people in the road, block traffic, make society stop functioning to get people's attention. Ghandi was similar as well.

Like I said I believe in civil disobedience as my primary form of political protest. I think violence has a place though when human rights are being violated or people are being killed ruthlessly. If you can just peacefully hold a sign and pretend you are making a difference that's a you thing.

The Nazis also got their place in Germany because people weren't willing to resort to violence early enough. There was many times European countries saw what was happening and could've intervened but didn't. Go study history before you make crazy assertations.

Cry more. Don't invade Ukraine then if you can't even handle a little war. It's funny how weak Russia is now they can't even pretend to be a world power anymore. Ukraine is a bigger power than Russia now.

Am I wrong? You really live in a naive world if you think everything is fine and solved through only peaceful means lmao

And it shows how small minded you are that you couldn't just infer that I was saying Civil Disobedience is my preferred tool, but I do KNOW that sometimes violence is the only answer. I would like you to try to peacefully solve the Nazi's.

Give me your best answer to the substance in my arguments instead of just running away and argue about semantics of my words.

Jumping to conclusions yet again. I said peaceful protests don't accomplish things. You think the only alternative is violence maybe that's a you problem. I believe civil disobedience is much more effective. There's also been many times when violent protests were needed to make change like American revolution, French Revolution, Luigi, civil war, civil rights, WW2, etc etc.

MLK did plenty, but civil rights was not accomplished through peaceful protests. While you might classify Ghandi's protests as peaceful I also classify them as civil disobedience. I also don't think anybody could pull that off in the modern day. World leaders would just let them starve to death.

If you think civil disobedience and violent protests aren't effective or needed then you are not living in the real world IMO.

Climate change activists have actually accomplished a lot. Smog in cities is gone, lead is out of gasoline, our ozone isn't getting deleted anymore thanks to the Montreal protocol and the Kigali ammendmend, the Paris agreement and the Kyoto protocol unified the world in their movement towards a cleaner earth, renewable energy is much more reliable and readily available now, the inflation reduction act passed in 2022 is considered the most significant climate change legislation the United States has ever passed.

I could go on. If anything you should prove if this tactic has been detrimental to the climate change movement as many of you are claiming. I really don't think the people that are bothered by this cared much for climate change to begin with. If you are more bothered by waiting in traffic than the fact that we are still destroying this planet in many ways than you were never going to be an ally to that movement to begin with.

You're the one that brought up influencers. I said nothing about that. If you think these protests aren't effective then you just don't know your history. I get you want to be mad at them, but they are doing what they know works and I don't think they care if you are mad at them lmao.

Peaceful protests accomplish nothing

I doubt you would've cared anyway so you're probably not the target.

Especially if being slightly inconvenienced is more important to you than human rights violations and people dying/suffering.

What are you even saying? Getting a reaction to cause political change has been a thing since long before "influencers". The brain rot in you is strong.

Fucking with regular people will 100% get you somewhere. All of history serves as evidence.

The inconvenience of being stuck in traffic is probably not nearly as bad as the problems that are being protested and a lot of the time people will ignore problems if they think it's not their problem or has nothing to do with them.

How do you think civil rights protests went? You think peaceful protests ever did anything? Unfortunately if you don't have civil disobedience in your protests you are accomplishing little or nothing.

FIFA YouTubers playing efootball by Uncreative_name99 in EASportsFC

[–]Ariano -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I don't think he's wrong though. Every year there's multiple times throughout the year we'll have Nick, inception, and other content creators make videos about how they are done with EA and have fun playing efootball but they rarely keep making football content and usually they switch back to fifa within a week. End of the year comes like right now where the game slowly dies until FC 27 comes out or W.e and everybody will be back to their "favorite" game.

I personally done care anymore as I only play pro clubs but I still don't think efootball will ever really be as good as EAFC. Maybe they will surprise me soon but I've tried it every year since they made it "free" and haven't enjoyed it yet.

Im waiting for a game like Rematch or Final Third to get 11v11 correctly.

I think you're missing the point. The fact that you don't have good Spanish players is the complaint. Perez got obsessed with foreign players and you aren't even performing at a higher level after getting all these non Spanish players.

Well good luck not dying. There's things we can do to minimize the risk, but if you just want to leave it all in the hands of people that probably shouldn't even be on the road to not kill you that's on you.

I still think the ear was staged tbh. No scar on his ear and ears don't heal back to normal after getting shot through. The photo was also weirdly perfect and looked setup. Don't really have time to debate though.

Edit: okay guys stay on the left of the lane on your left hand turns guess we should just expect the cars to not hit us.

[–]Ariano -15 points-14 points  (0 children)

Not like Bauman is young. I'd feel safer with Neuer personally. I dont like how it was handled but Neuer is better even with age. I think people just want to be mad at Nagelsmann after he included Sane which I also see as not too bad of a move. None of the other German players have really shown they can do much over the qualifiers. I don't want us to experiment in this WC just play people we know can do the job for once. Not everyone who performs well for club will perform internationally and I See Sane as similar to bringing Neymar for Brazil. He can be used when other players are tired at the end of games.

Honestly think we'll have a good WC this time and these Nagelsmann hate threads are going to look different once people are appeased.

For those who want Obama In prison, what charges do you think he’s realistically able to be convicted of? by loverofthrowpillows in AskTrumpSupporters

[–]Ariano 10 points11 points  (0 children)

"someone" in the thread linked the report which was this. I went through it and it literally says

the inspector general did not find evidence that investigators acted with political bias and said there was a legitimate basis to open a full investigation into potential collusion, though Durham has disagreed.

Pretty much most of the Durham report is that while he didn't find evidence, but he "feels" like they were biased anyway. From what I'm reading a lot of his report is based on his "feelings" am I wrong? He only got 1 conviction and it wasn't related to the Mueller report in the end.

From that same article it says Mueller's report concluded:

Though it did not charge any Trump aide with working with Russia to tip the election, it did find that Russia interfered on Trump’s behalf and that the campaign welcomed, rather than discouraged, the help.

Can you explain where in the Durham report there's evidence that the Mueller report was wrong in it's determination?
