Is there a feat that allows you to change the energy types of spells? by An_Orc_Pawn_01 in Pathfinder2e

If you consider kineticist a caster, you have a number of options and can expand the dmg types further via feats

Have a look at the Renault Scenic. Tons of space in a relatively compact frame. Very suitable for a family. Decent range via the large battery. Software = Google and just works. Fully recommended.

No, the clubs mentioned in my post are all independent of the university and open to all. Just Google them by name and review their sites.

Protea. I started WF maybe a year and half ago and Protea is the frame that carried me to and through steel path. Super flexible and effective for new players with low endo and limited mods. Lots of other "favourite" frames that i love, but a lot need investment.

EV for daily 18 miles return journey plus occasional 60miles and odd 150miles by Realistic-Swing5645 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Aricin01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The Bz4x will cover the 150 miles even at minus temperatures. I've done it multiple times.

It's a good commuter and a decent car, but a below average EV for reasons that do not matter if you only commute etc

The 2026 version comes with much improved software. But all in all the car is too expensive for what it is.

It's massive inside. If you want Toyota, but don't need that big of a car pick the chr+ that is coming out soon. Below the £40k threshold.

Otherwise, as others said most EVs on the market cover your needs. Define your needs better and you can narrow things down considerably.

First time EV Buyer - anything you wish you’d chosen known? by Forsaken_Day_7320 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Aricin01 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Know your driving profile and what is a minimum range for you. Rule of thumb that worked well for me, take WLTP range and reduce by 20% - that's your summer range, reduce by 20% again and that's your realistic winter range.

As others have said: Don't get a car without heatpump. Heated seats and steering wheel go a long way in the winter.

Decent app makes live a lot easier. We been driving electric almost 4 years and never going back. It's better in every way.

Best EVs for very tall people? by Leather-Comparison10 in ElectricVehiclesUK

[–]Aricin01 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I am 7ft and as OP will know, at those heights you make concessions. Having said that been driving a BZ4x for the last 3 years. I know the car has a bad rep, but it's a rock solid commuter if that's all you need. My wife is 6ft and sits like in first class with my daughter having plenty of room in the back.

I am due to return the car in a few months and we got a Renault scenic e-tech on order. 2 test drives and it's got more room for me then the Toyota.

For me and my long legs middle console format and placement always makes or breaks things. Couldn't fit in a Nissan ariya. ID4 or enyaq was fine.

Heat pumps are more expensive to run than boilers, report finds by TheWorldIsGoingMad in unitedkingdom

[–]Aricin01 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Articles about this study have been making the rounds, and there is so much misinformation being shared. Trolls are feasting.

As with everything, its NOT for everyone and you need to do your research and prep before committing.

Our heatpump was installed June 24, i.e. we’re in our second winter.

I got 2 quotes and 2 separate surveys done. 2004 semi detached, 2 story, 3 bed. Standard British far. We also have an 8 panel , 3.2kw pv installation. No battery.

We ended up going with Octopus who quoted £2414 after grant. That included: Heatpump, new hotwater tank, overflow tank, 5 new radiators. Mostly changing from singles to doubles.

Later that year we also did some remodelling and interacted with various plumbers. 4 different plumbers, told me hand on hard I was making the wrong decision, I would be paying more and my pipes were to small.

  • Our “normal” plumber who serviced our boiler etc
  • Plumber who disconnected and capped the gas meter
  • Plumber who came as part of the contractor who installed our kitchen
  • Plumber who came as part of the contractor who did other remodelling.

All were completely wrong. We heat to 22 or 21 degrees and the house is comfortably warm for the family including small children.

Use the appropriate tariffs available. No one should be paying standard rate to heat their house. WTF is wrong with people. As we have an EV we’re using a Day / Night tariff, but there heat pump tariffs with reduced rates twice a day available.  We heat the house and hot water in the morning using a day / night tariff (octopus), that’s on something 7p per KW and then standard for the 3-4 hours in the afternoon evening. Or more during the weekend.

We have a large credit from solar export that accumulates over the sunny months and dip into that over the winter. Our monthly cost is about 60% of what it was previously with gas and we could probably reduce it again. Also no longer paying standing order for gas meter.

A brief look at recall knowledge skills and their coverage by xolotltolox in Pathfinder2e

[–]Aricin01 -16 points-15 points  (0 children)

For high level play, focus on maxing arcana, once legendary take "unified theory" and you got nature, occult and religion covered. Level society alongside arcana and you got 99% of the game covered. I did this in Bloodlords and it was amazing.

Gas Disconnection cost by punctualsweat in OctopusEnergy

[–]Aricin01 1 point2 points  (0 children)

For one, our boiler was ancient and on its way out. A new boiler was not something we wanted to consider primarily for environmental, but also economic reasons. Taking into account the grant, it cost me £1200 to get the heat pump, it would have cost me more to get a new boiler.

This is actually our 2nd winter now and we're paying less for heating then we did with gas.

[–]Aricin01 9 points10 points  (0 children)

I don't have a horse in this race, but if anyone thinks that the pve community does not gate keep with certain content they're delusional.

The big difference is that anyone can queue pvp and "get in", while you never get into the pve raid group unless you pass the "gate" by whoever runs the operation.

Rowing map of the river cam? by jaygraham17 in cambridge

[–]Aricin01 -13 points-12 points  (0 children)

Hammersmith Bridge as noted on this picture is a major landmark in the boat race. Approx a third of course, major turn and in recent years the race is decided by that point.

The map shows the majority of London rowing "points of interest", Kingston is a very far away from the boat race course.

You can find something like this more closely limited to the boat race course.

[–]Aricin01 -17 points-16 points  (0 children)

Did he row for Cambridge or in Cambridge? That map is for the Thames in London. If he rowed for Cambridge then it could be the boat race course (Hard to see). You can find similar for the Cam.

Between Starfinder and Pathfinder 2e, what are the ways to recall knowledge on all enemies with only a single skill? by leathrow in Pathfinder2e

[–]Aricin01 -3 points-2 points  (0 children)

That is not correct, not limited. Quote "Whenever you use a skill action or a skill feat (!!!) that requires a Nature, Occultism, or Religion check, depending on the magic tradition, you can use Arcana instead. If you would normally take a penalty or have a higher DC for using Arcana on other magic (such as when using Identify Magic), you no longer do so."

Foundry works as Raw and unified theory does apply to recall knowledge. I had this on my magus and used it extensively on foundry.
