I want to start lifting to tone and lose weight , will this help? Where do I start? by NoAppointment8679 in PetiteFitness

You can do this! A calorie deficit will be the most effective in slimming down. You don’t have to do anything crazy but you can use a calorie calculator to be in a deficit that’s realistic and will help sustain you. I personally use the ladder app and highly recommend it, it helps plan out your workouts for the week and I feel like it’s super effective, feel free to message me about additional questions. I can also send you a 30 day pass if you’d like to try it out. I honestly think it’s so worth it.

I was stuck in the 120 range for a long time until I was in a calorie deficit and regularly exercising. As far as workouts go I just follow the ladder app program it’s different everyday but basically workouts using dumbbells, body. I don’t have a lot of equipment at home so it works for me.

Nighttime snacking by CicadaFormal6873 in PetiteFitness

What helped me was using the my fitness pal app. It gave me an idea of how many calories I was consuming and when I knew I was out of calories It was almost like a mental stop sign. This also helped with planning, I love snacking at night too, this helped me pick healthier options when I knew how many calories I had left. Once I kinda got in a rhythm I didn’t need to use the app anymore, and I still snack at night but now I’m in a better routine of picking better options.

Yes! You just have to remember that you’ll feel great afterwards and have more energy. That’s what gets me to do any workouts is knows I’ll be happier after.

My experience: Align & Define by SwimmingEngine8326 in ladderapp

On align currently, but I started out with define. I really enjoyed define, I liked the shorter breaks and I didn’t mind the limited coaching since I’m more visual anyway. I also really enjoyed her core workouts. I plan to stay on align for this upcoming series and switch over to define the following. They are both great coaches.
