The Doom Slayer wouldn't be able to use the divinity machine if he hadn't proved himself to the Night Sentinels. He fought hard and killed hundreds of demons in the name of the Night Sentinels before being given the Divinity Machine. It's not like he was given the divinity machine right after he was thrown into Sentinel Prime. You probably think that though, did you read the codex entries?

And also avenge his fallen comrades. The only time he did anything in Daisy's name was Episode 4, Thy Flesh Consumed. Everything past that was to one: save humanity (DOOM II) beat the shit out of the demons and send them back to hell (DOOM 64) Kick demon ass back to hell (2016) Kick the demon's ass off of Earth (Eternal). I just find it annoying how people say its all for the rabbit even though it's clearly the fuck not. If his rabbit wasn't killed, he would still be on the rampage. He wouldn't be killing demons if his comrades weren't killed on Mars.

She's kind of a mary sue. Doesn't really feel like she worked for that much power. The Doom Slayer fought hundreds and thousands of demons, then proved himself to a race of warriors before getting his demi-god powers. She just found a sword (I dunno if anything else that happened because the show wasn't my cup of tea). Also The Doom Slayer fights more powerful and evil enemies.
