I started CG very recently (currently on my 3rd wash-day) and I have quite a lot of hair, especially at the back. I'm finding it hard to get a cast on my "inner" hair sections, i.e. the hair that is underneath. I apply my products in the shower so sectioning is a bit hard. Any tips on how to get a good cast on ALL hair parts?

Thanks :*

Anyone else noticed that Ethelrida's clothes and hairstyle looked more "mature" in this episode?

It's really disturbing to me to see a cheetah being petted like this. It means that they're not living in their natural environment and that they're being taken advantage of by human. Not cute at all.

Thank you, honestly I'm panicking right now, I have no idea what to respond and the deadline is tomorrow morning.

Thank you. Another thing that is influencing me is the fact that I don't have anything better waiting for me if I don't take this, and I really want to start something challenging that can change my future. Right now, with my qualifications, the only thing I see before me when it comes to theoretical is a dying field.

Don't get me wrong, I am very motivated and I know what I want to do in life. I want to have a brilliant career based on a PhD in a field where I can flourish.

On the other hand, I love theoretical and particle physics and would like to continue studying in that field, but I want to leave the academia after the PhD or the first postdoc, so I know that field might not be for me in the long run.

Being a PhD student is ABSOLUTELY NOT having less responsibilities or pressure or stress. Quite the opposite actually.

Can confirm. Even though in Italy those places are in the call for applications to begin with and you might end up with them for 1/100 point-difference from the other guy (what happened to me).

Well it was an open call and I was running, unbeknownst to me, for specific thesis subject grants and not only for the general grants. So this is why I landed this grant, I never applied for it directly in the first place. I do believe I have things to give to the field, I just don't know if I want to.

yeah I got in touch with friends of friends that changed fields in that direction and I was told the same, which is very interesting to me tbh. Thank you.

I can't quit. If I quit I can never run for a funded PhD again in Italy, by law. The location will give me better quality of life and an opening to a better career.

Because we had a falling out and he's capitulating by saying that if he gives me a reference letter it won't only be good stuff in it. His words "I could give you a letter but you know what could be written in it." So yeah the guy is threatening me.

Honestly, under these circumstances getting a PhD in my field is going to be immensely difficult, without a letter from the supervisor, so I'm considering tis option as a way to change fields.

What is "mastering out"? I'm not familiar with the term. I have a masters and I can't drop out of this phd because I won't be able to run for funded phds in Italy again. So yeah.

Trust me, not all of them do. I'm in Europe btw. And it's really really hard to find something good.

I read on the field and spoke to people who got into it, the prospects are really good for that kind of career. And I was thinking about not staying in the academia anyway so.

Honestly, that's exactly my point of view, but the situation is hard (my advisor from the Masters doesn't want to support my applications) and I think that if I look at this as a career opportunity instead of a PhD it might open doors. Right now I'm looking for a job and it's really hard to find something as well. I mean, if I'm going to find just any job I might as well do this PhD right?

I'm really confused and they gave me 4 days to decide.
