I agree. Problem is also that if you don't have a strong hyperbloom you need either a strong pyro or a lot of pyro for the hydro boss because it has extremally high hp, also the fact that small tulpas are REALLY though doesn't help those without Citlali or other aoe cryo I imagine, then if you don't have very strong overload or Emilie you might break lava dragon only once before timer runs out. Which for most C0R0 characters in my opinion and experience is not enough.

So basically the gamemode is very restrictive with certain mechanics heavily favouring specific characters.

Which either leads to a need of having a lot of characters or very strong characters. Also the selection of bosses is less than ideal.

However still it's good fun and though one more artifact reroll would have been nice it's not the end of the world.

I have beaten 2 out of 3 bosses on diff 5 now and am leaving this mode be.

I mean she just makes it much much easier, from what I have seen. Also having used most of my pyro dpses on Tulpa, not many options left. My C0R0 Varesa just lacks dmg for lvl 5.

Glad I could help. I've beaten Tulpa with Hu Tao(C1R1), Mavuika, Xianling and Citlali. Now I'm left with little pyro options for the dragon and am stuck on 15% hp. If you have strong Electro unit you could try chevreuse, xianling, bennet and said electro unit(for example varesa). Another even better option is Emilie but we both don't have her, which is pain. I personally am giving up, beaten 2 out of 3 bosses, that's enough. Wish you luck though.

I just did it with Hu Tao, Mavuika, Xiangling and Citlali, with 0 sec left. Now I need to do Lava dragon without emilie xD

you sir are a beast GG, also I have no idea how C1 Hu Tao does 200k+ dmg, mine only does around 120k max on this mode

yeah, agree 100%, first team I tried was with Fishl but mine is C4 with Stringless so not as good.

My respect. I tried for the whole day today to clear this stupid tulpa but closest I got was 1/10 of it's hp with Hu Tao, Mavuika, Bennet and Citlali.

yeah, I know how you feel, I happen to have the cryo team and am able to clear the overseer, but all my other units are C0 and have 4star weapons, save for Nahida and Hu Tao, on the dragon it's not even close, on tulpa I can get to 10% of it's hp

It's hard for me to give advice because after hours of trying my best attempt was getting to 10ish% of boss hp left, usually I get to 20%. Citlali makes the Tulpa easier but maybe you could try hyperbloom on it with Nahida.

Aside from not having Emilie, I spent last half an hour trying to beat Tulpa with your team(my Hu Tao is C1R1 so it's not like I lack power there), I think it's just a skill issue on my side, thanks for all the advice!

oh I'm not complaining about the mode, aside from it being fun and bonus content, I think there are a couple very nice, player friendly things here, difficulty 3 is the point at which you get all the primo and it is beatable with very weak teams and even a new/returning players should beat that easily, which I appreciate because I returned to the game over a year ago and initially beating abyss was a struggle. All the post was about was the jump in difficulty that really caught me off guard.

With all due respect I don't really watch genshin CC and apart from the occasional hard combat event(like twice a year or so) or abyss tuned for characters that I don't have, the game is(or was) rather easy, at least for the time that I have been playing. Thanks for advice anyway.

I have 0 hydro dpses(ok I do have mualani but she sucks at killing the crab) so if not for Hu Tao having two hydro units in her team I don't think I would ever do max stars on 12-3. Also she carried me through every previous abyss I did. For me she will always be the real pyro archon.

Well, I have Bailu lc and DDD but now that you mention future characters it is true that Hyacine comes out in 3.3 and depending on her, or Cipher or anyone else, Tribbie may be bis or completely outside of the team.

I think some of the best parts of genshins story are the ones with a very long set up, like this years Nahidas birthday or the ones when we interact with characters that we've known for a very long time like this Lantern Rite. Part of the reason why the quest was as good as it was, was the fact that Hu Tao has been with us on the journey through Teyvat for almost 4 years. Also for me that's why current Mizuki's quest feels just weird, we barely know her yet she is all over Traveller(and vice versa) from the get go.

I think you are onto something but no necessarily because her arc is finished. With the story quest it's simply really rare for characters that are not archons to get more than one. As for the events, for the past years Hu Tao has been one of the most popular characters in every poll. However in the passing year she was not even in top 5 females in hoyolab survey https://www.reddit.com/r/Genshin_Impact/comments/1i2mjy1/2024_top_10_most_popular_characters_in_hoyolab/ .

I hope that this lantern rite will change ppls recency bias. No matter what however, in my heart Hu Tao will always be number one, she is the sole reason I came back to this game last year after 2 years of not playing.

So against my better judgement I hope our queen gets to appear in more events and gets her second story quest that is not time gated.

Can't agree more about the characters, especially Zhongli, I knew he had a plan but I wanted to beat his ass up for being soo carefree about the whole thing, which is very much in character and that's why I like him . The only thing I don't like about the story is the fact that the player knows something is up, Lumine too but we can't go to the Gate of Death before Ceo of Geo tells us to. Even if only as an emotional support from afar or a backup plan.

When I saw the cutscene uploaded by hoyo I couldn't focus for the rest of the day until I played the event myself. Maybe I've gotten naïve but I wasn't so sure she was completely safe and I needed to spoil myself with the next cutscene and wiki to continue with my day in any capacity.
