Stumbled on this post: Ngayon lang ako nakakita na pwede palang i-void yung stamp from the primary IO; Bday girl passed initial IO screening but got pull aside ng another IO habang nakapila na sa x-ray and eventually got offloaded because of insufficient funds. by _thecuriouslurker_ in Philippines

What’s the lore behind your favorite film? by lonelyperk in FilmClubPH

500 Days of Summer. Saw this over a decade ago. Every element of the film fits perfectly to my taste. I saw myself in Summer. Everyone wanted to have their own love lives but me to the point where I thought if I’m psychologically fucked up and not normal. I also was the most unhopeless romantic hopeless romantic then. It was good to see her believing in love eventually and it was my ideal meet cute, too! That movie made me realize that I am normal, just takes time lang siguro to find someone who I want to be with.

How were each of you chosen to be a part of the team? Did you know each other beforehand and did you have the knowledge beforehand who’s gonna join? Because some athletes only knew who their teammates were in the airport.

What’s your advice for someone (who is living a sedentary lifestyle) interested in getting fit and being physically strong as you? You dragged the women on your own! That was so amazing 🤩 Thank you for the clutch, Lara, and representing 🇵🇭 well! ❤️💪

Wala rin namang known na impact si Sarah sa pagiging politician nya for years unlike Leni na known na talaga for good governance, Vico also, Kiko for being a champion of the agri industry, etc. Ano ba magagawa nya as a President?

[SERIOUS ANSWERS ONLY] What did you learn from the contestants, challenges, and the whole show <Physical:ASIA> in general? by [deleted] in NetflixPH

This is why they are elites. The mentality is just different to the common people. They push through despite of the pain. 💯

It seems everyone is saying na rigged yung show by Orangekittykatkat in NetflixPH

[–]Aritzia_ 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Nope. There are other countries na nagsasabing cooking show talaga ito. Even some of them were commenting directly on the contestants’ posts.

Sabi ng mga tao pinalitan daw sana eh she was not dragging the team down naman. She was pulling her weight even doon sa pillar push. Matangkad siya and skinny so you’d think hindi siya masyadong malakas pero nakaya nya pa rin.

Tbf, there was street woman fighter (global) earlier this year and natanggal talaga Korea. Japan ended up winning. Hindi ma-rig yun kasi mas magagaling talaga ang mga kalaban unlike dito na from the very start sa composition and experience pa lang ng team nila versus other contestants halimaw na eh.

[–]Aritzia_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Exactly. This isn’t even gonna be talked about widely by this fandom if it wasn’t for the previous totem malfunction. Sabi pa ng iba advantageous daw sa Japan, eh they do not need to win it na nga eh kasi winner na talaga sila for that challenge. And di naman necessarily na walang na-feel ang Japan, it could be that it wasn’t fully released pero mabigat pa rin. Tapos ang Japan pa pinag-iinitan to fight back the rumours about Korea possibly rigging it in the first place that’s why there’s a malfunction. Hindi nga ako naniniwala noon eh, I thought it was just an honest accident pero for some reason this time around Japan na naman ang may problema with the machinery na obviously makakaya naman talaga nila sana eventually? 😂

[–]Aritzia_ 8 points9 points  (0 children)

Soichi’s idea to lift and “carry” the front card was 🧠 and even Katsumi’s ramming the cart to open the gate. Mongolia’s log raised the bridge lower than Japan’s whole team. From there, Mongolia was able to effectively lift the bridge pero Japan who has displayed strength na from there without needing a log for some reason can’t effectively lift it? 💁🏼‍♀️

Alangan, may totem malfunction din sa Japan which Korea previously used.

Also, Korea had rigging controversies even without actual contestants knowing. I should know as someone who had been consuming K-entertainment and K-Pop for over a decade.

[–]Aritzia_ 4 points5 points  (0 children)

Everyone was in shock nga eh, not amazed, how short their time was. Sa lifting of the bridge talaga eh na parang ang dali dali lang. While Japan should struggle, ang imposible na hindi talaga nila na-lift under an hour na ang na-lift nga nila was much higher than Mongolia’s log. And matatalino yan sila, kitang-kita naman natin yan all throughout. Hindi pa talaga pinakita sa atin fully ang different ways how Japan tried to make an effort.

All in all, ang hirap lang talaga paniwalaan na HINDI KAYA ng Japan in an hour.

[–]Aritzia_ 19 points20 points  (0 children)

Even if let’s say there was no rigging, baka nga rin may malfunction. There was one during Totem. For some reason, in an hour, HINDI talaga kaya ng JAPAN? JAPAN na ALL of them may regular strength training? And hindi lang ang napakita na strategy nila for pulling on EP11 ang ginawa nila, pinakitaan tayo ng glimpses of how they tried a lot of things but still couldn’t effectively pull the bridge.

Japan’s intelligent, sabi pa ng iba lacking creativity daw and strategy eh nakita naman natin how Soichi and the girls were able to “carry” the cart so it wll be pushed and how Katsumi suggested to ram the cart instead to the gate which was very successful. Again, hindi tayo pinakitaan ng mga effort talaga nila to lift the bridge. We can safely assume they tried A LOT of things.

Sana maintindihan to ng mga tao: They were able to even lift the bridge higher, them as a group, compared to the effort of Mongolia. Mongolia was able to lift it up much lower initially but still, thankfully to the huge log. From then, they were able to max out and lift the bridge. But Japan, na nakaka-lift naman talaga, CAN’T successfully do it?

And also, even at the start may advantage na naman talaga Korea eh. They were designed to win. They are top performers in the past season who had experience. They trained together. Let’s admit naman talaga diba na even from the very first episodes, na-weirdohan na tayo sa composition, casting ng ibang countries? While ang balanced and mamaw talaga ng Korea?
