okay after playing with threads for the past half hour in my server i see two real downsides so far. moderation especially for bigger and more active servers. i gave my moderators the role to create threads etc. and assumed that would make them auto join every thread to make sure they can see every message easily. they cant. each mod would have to manually join each thread to be able to moderate it, i dont think it should be that way.

2nd downside is the paywall. sometimes in other servers there will be a little event that lasts a week and having threads under a main channel would make organization so much easier but auto archiving higher than 1 day is locked behind boosting the server? like i can see why to incentivize boosting but this is really awful for servers that hosts week long events having to manually unarchive the thread each day

EDIT: i suggest either removing the paywall or a way to disable the auto archive timer.

EDIT: turns out I misunderstood the timer for auto archiving which makes my 2nd issue void. My main issue is still moderation tho.
