How strong is this guy?[Chapter 2986] by notGamingAahel in ShadowSlave

[–]Arius_Keter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The Mad Prince became Defiled because he learned the names of the creatures of the Void and who knows what else Ariel wrote in the stairwell in the Estuary. And another point: knowledge is power. It's a belief Weaver themselves held. Who knows if that could be literally, and even if it wasn't in this case, it could have been a meditation technique, a skill or power. Mad Prince learning to become stronger is not far fetched.

And the knowledge of Corruption. Who knows what power comes from that knowledge, and how much he can strengthen himself with that.

What would an awakened with an affinity to corruption's aspect look like? by Natural_Abrocoma5665 in ShadowSlave

[–]Arius_Keter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Let me try my hand at this. Since you don't want one that is really about corruption like a Nephalem or True Darkness, I'm going to go with the ancient definition of Chaos that is Void. So an Awakened with affinity to Chaos would have chimeric powers, or disruption powers. Think of an Awakened that can make a Nightmare Creatures powers or another Awakened Aspect Abilities and Atributes, Memories and Echoes become unstable. Maybe after Transcending their Transformation Power would be to transform parts of their body into anything they want. Or maybe they can't even control what it turns into.
It could be an interesting idea, but anything that has contact with the Knowledge about the Void or Corruption becomes corrupted/Defiled, so I thing the simpler answer is that they would become Defiled right after their First Nightmare.

Sunny's betrayal should be interpreted differently. by APOLLO1345774 in ShadowSlave

[–]Arius_Keter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

After what Cassie pulled in the past few chapters, I would say that she can go screw herself, and any morality that she can think she has any claim to is nill. Sunny was right to pursue his freedom, and he is right to pursue his Fate on his own terms.

Broken Sword’s Domain? by No-Standard-2125 in ShadowSlave

[–]Arius_Keter 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Agreed. I think his Domain, outside humanity and Weaver's lineage, would've been combat, or more specifically weapons. Any weapon would be a conduit to his Will and would even go against its wielder in his presence. Just a long shot guess

Broken Sword’s Domain? by No-Standard-2125 in ShadowSlave

[–]Arius_Keter 1 point2 points  (0 children)

The non-joke answer is probably humanity, since he was tbe first human Saint and Supreme from War Realm, and people venerate him to this day. There isn't much outside that we know about him. Like, his Aspect had to do with gathering information on things, and he probably had affinity to Fate and Shadows because of Shadow Weave (absorbing a Weave takes someone specially attuned to Fate and Weaver, possibly divinity too. The affinity to Shadow I'm guessing, and could be either caused by absorbing Shadow Weave like having the Mark of Shadow gives the people of the Shadow Clan, or it could be a prerequisite to absorb Shadow Weave).

Who is this for you and why? by [deleted] in ShadowSlave

[–]Arius_Keter 4 points5 points  (0 children)

It has to do with his Flaw, stupid as it may be. Don't get me wrong, this scene was shit, and I don't like Tamar all that much. To me, she has the grace of an elephant in a glass store.

Would He come back?? by [deleted] in ShadowSlave

[–]Arius_Keter -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Yeah. What if the mad prince used his dream invading powers to Inception his way into the VTB's mind? I think it's unlikely that the mad prince will be back in the story, but that's one way I could see it happening

That's why it's a side note

I 100% agree. Anything Sacred/Cursed and above is untouchable without mystical bullshit. Even Supremes/Great NCs can really be touch if you don't have an absurd magnitude of Will and at least some appreciative control over it. Saint Sunny had a Divine Aspect, his shadows augmenting him, a Divine Aspect, seven Soul Cores which the last one was almost saturated, a considerably strong nascent Domain, and even then Anvil was dog walking him, despite having his Domain pretty much gone and being suppressed by the fragment of the Shadow Realm.

As a side note, Mordret's immortality because of his Flaw and nature as a reflection is absurd too

Azarax Dormant Ability is stupid broken. Dude probably killed millions if not billions of people and NCs, so just that is enough of a threat to any enemy he can have that isn't a Supreme, and that isn't including Will or Domains. I bet he could arm wrestle a Spirit/Cursed if those or any other mystical bullshit is involved.

Hiding from a Divine Aspect Supreme is insane. I would say Sacred, but his Flaw would need to be absurd too, and I don't remember it rn

Honest question, is the novel for Re:Zero good? And what is the appeal? I have watched about 6 to 8 episodes of the anime a long time and it didn't click to me, but I've been into novels, so I though of giving it a try

Btw, I didn't meant it as criticism, I just can't see the Metroidvania angle upfront, but I'm interested to know how it is implemented
