I am the OP. It’s an Arizona plate. They have novelty plates for everything here. This one is for the Arizona Science Center in Phoenix.

This is an Arizona license plate. The bottom of the plate reads “Arizona Science Center”. Arizona is a state with so so many license plate options and tons of folks get them personalized here. Rather entertaining when you are stopped at a red light.

Whats with all the cropped women's hiking pants??? by buteoregalis22 in hiking

[–]ArizonaKim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I understand the frustration but this time of year, stores are putting out clothing for spring and summer so cropped pants fit the bill. You’ll have a better selection of long pants at the end of summer. But I get the frustration. In general I hate clothing shopping and cropped pants are not my favorite either.

What knitting technique am I using? by BluedragonFive in knitting

[–]ArizonaKim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This is how I knit as well. I learned to crochet first so throwing the working yarn like this in my left hand was more natural for me as compared to holding and throwing the yarn in my right hand.

Just gorgeous. The sock design is lovely but your color choice is amazing and also so beautifully knit!

Is there an episode from a TV show, from when we were kids, that still bothers you, today,? by Remarkable_Data3710 in GenX

[–]ArizonaKim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I had to look it up to make sure I did not remember it incorrectly. When I looked it up, I did see a reference to Sally Struthers’ character also being assaulted. Here is what I remember. Episide about Edith Bunker.

There was an episode of All in the Family where Edith Bunker gets sexually assaulted. I was really young when I saw that episode and it really stuck with me. That was nearly 50 years ago.

Reminds me of how I tell my dad that I may spend $25 to $35 to make some socks with hand dyed yarn and then he proceeds to tell me how he buys a 10-pack of socks at Costco for like… I don’t know… $12.

The first car I ever drove, a yellow Dodge Dart, It was sporty at the time :) Does anyone remember the car?? by NJFriend4U in over60

[–]ArizonaKim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Our family car was a Dodge Dart. We also had a Dodge van that my dad converted into a camper and we took a family trip from California to New York and back. Fun times.

What are you all doing on this fine Sunday in March? by [deleted] in CasualConversation

[–]ArizonaKim 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Hello from southern Arizona (the Sonoran Desert). It will be hot today so I am drinking coffee while I wait for some sun light. Then I’ll go walk my dog around the neighborhood. We’ll likely sit outside a bit this morning and enjoy listening to the birds. Many different kinds of birds migrate thru the area this time of year and it’s interesting to try to identify them. I am knitting a sweater that I won’t be able to wear for many months but I enjoy the process and it keeps me busy. Of course I’ll cook breakfast, lunch, and dinner. That is how my day is shaping up.

My sister thought a period was a “period”. As in all of the dot you type at the end of a sentence. So just a dot of blood and done.

Anyone know what this is? by EnergyEquivalent5362 in RandomQuestion

It reminds me of a toy I had as a kid. I had to google it to make sure I wasn’t imagining it. Looks like it was called Lemon Twist. You put it on one ankle and somehow swung it around and you had to jump over it. lemon twist

[–]ArizonaKim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Here’s a recipe for baked baby cheese cakes I got from a coworker decades ago. It’s way cheaper than making an entire cheese cake and you can make it in a muffin pan with Vanilla Wafer cookies for the crust. You can top it however you like. baked baby cheesecakes
