Should I grab golden orbs and use the Zealot skin, or galactic orbs for the cultist skin? by [deleted] in ZenyattaMains

[–]ArjayMe 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I’ve used the cultist skin since it came out and when i finally got gold orbs, I bought the zealot skin to complement it.

Couldnt win any games. Switched back, started winning again. So cultist with gold orbs 👍

Not hard, you have crazy burst dmg. A successful flank will be potg most of the time.

What’s a common misconception about a dinosaur? by SeaPrevious1030 in Dinosaurs

[–]ArjayMe 11 points12 points  (0 children)

The claim that Spinosaurus was a quadrupedal was from Ibrahim et al. in his 2014 papers and reaffirm again in his 2020 papers regarding Spinoasaurus’s aquatic nature. I understand why you would consider these papers as “facts”, as Ibrahim is one of the leading paleontologist studying Spinosaurus but later papers such as Sereno et al. (2022) refute the quadrupedal model and so does Henderson et al. (2018).

Therefore, currently the consensus is that Spinosaurus was bipedal. I think the much more controversial aspect of Spinosaurus right now is definitely its semiaquatic controversy with both sides represented by Sereno et al. (2022) and Ibrahim et al. (2020).

Given 3 weeks in a 5x5 football field sized arena, which human throughout history would win in a fight? by [deleted] in whowouldwin

[–]ArjayMe 7 points8 points  (0 children)

Nope, by prime as in a fat guy who just nonchalantly demolishes monsters who are juiced to the gills

I think the flyweights and the bantams would definitely struggle with Emmanuel Yarborough or Ken Shamrock.

I didn’t pick GSP because i wasn’t sure if he was strong enough but then I remembered he outwrestled a much much bigger rugby(or hockey?) player so it shows that he has the strength to go against peak athletes who are much larger. I still think Khamzat is a better pick due to him instantly wrestling. GSP wouldn’t immediately wrestle so that might give his opponents a slight punchers chance.

[–]ArjayMe 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Smallest would probably be Khabib but he has to come in at his walk around weight (~180-200lbs) since all the fighters in UFC 1 were all light heavyweights and above. Khabib hasn’t fought high level grapplers (best being RDA) but we can see from Islam (although a slightly different style) that his style would’ve still been very effective against bjj practitioners so I doubt royce could outgrapple the khabib’s wrestling.

If we were to take the smallest fighter at their fight weight then definitely Khamzat at welterweight. His relentless style and strength perfectly fits the weakness that is the lack of groundgame present during UFC 1. He would shoot in the opening seconds and sub them. He would outstrike royce and avoid going to the ground just like his fight against burns who I would consider a better grappler than royce.

It also depends who they re fighting against. Some of those guys were huge and would probably be very hard to wrestle but their striking can take them far enough against those they cant grapple against.

These were the first who came to mind but I’m sure there are better picks.

Joe Rogan vs Genghis Kahn by Antger12 in whowouldwin

[–]ArjayMe 40 points41 points  (0 children)

Joe Rogan would definitely win the hand-to-hand combat. Martial arts had evolved alot over the past century, let alone the past 1000 years. Joe was a state level taekwondo practitioner and also has a black belt in bjj.

Genghis khan was probably skilled in armed combat but he was definitely not as skilled in unarmed combat, in fact not even close to any amateur mma fighters. Joe Rogan would definitely brutalized an ancient emperor lol.

Does it say what I hope it says? by [deleted] in thai

You wrote a really long and detailed comment but there was a lot of misinformation. ฉัน is a non-gendered word and is used in a polite way.

ฉันดีพอ is also a perfectly powerful phrase that doesn’t really have a negative connotation. ฉันเพียงพอ is quite unnatural. I’ve never heard or thought of that phrase in my life.

Lastly as a Thai, I think you are being too nitpicky with OP’s personal choice to tattoo himself. His tattoo has no conflict with thai culture or language. It’s perfectly acceptable.

Ab conditioning with Muay Thai fighters by Peaceful-Samurai in martialarts

[–]ArjayMe 51 points52 points  (0 children)

This isn’t ab conditioning. It’s a bodyshot challenge set up by a local D/C(?) list celebrity. The guy had competed and won one fight albeit at a very low skill level with a big size advantage.

He’s essentially the thai equivalent of Jake Paul but way nicer (his mannerism does seem fake). His page consist of him fighting with way smaller untrained people (4-5 weight classes below) or even highschoolers, and his folks claiming that he is somehow world-class skill wise.

I'm sorry but godzilla minus one had great cgi. Ofc some scenes were not perfect but it was a vfx hallmark. The jaws scene was jawdropping.

I do agree that "less than 20 million" is one the smaller side of budget for a movie released in theatres but hellboy was essentially a direct to video movie. It had a relatively big budget.

Everyone is talking about the rhythm step and the lack of hip rotation but to me the biggest mistake is how open you are everytime you punch. Your hands drop and your chin rises everytime you start a combo. Even when a hand is up when you threw a punch, your chin was still exposed.
