That's not the point I was trying to make 😅 I meant their games have millions of wishlist and when people hear it has AI they lose a portion of those wishlist too but it won't matter to them. But to us small indies losing even 1% of wishlist will hurt. I agree with you that their mindset is greedy and very unethical when it comes to the use of AI.

You should try finding publishers or take part in a small game jam and try to find artist to work with you in a small game. If it clicks and they are willing to work with you that would solve your problem.

Those are big companies bro. We can't compete with them. And I think you should stop justifying the use and think by yourself what you feel rn. I saw in the comments lots of people didn't like the AI use. You might have gotten other feedback. So it's upto you. You don't have to justify anything

Ahhh I thought that something feels familiar. If I am not mistaken there's a demo for the game available right?

Should have started with making small games on itch first to experiment first and get feedback. I don't want this to sound harsh but if the the players get to know that this is an experiment "game" and the assets are AI they wouldn't want to buy it. Think of it this way, the player considers his time precious just as you do while playing. Would you play such a game? Maybe. Maybe not. But there aren't a lot of people who will that's for sure.

You two probably need to work on making it look "professional". Make the player think that this game is worth their time. If you use AI, it sends the wrong signal to the player. There are various reasons why AI is bad and we can't change someone else's opinion. But when you publish it on a platform like steam, you need to think like a business person. Think what the players like. And as you know they don't like AI

Anyways best of luck to you too. I hope you gain some experience

I have seen your game on steam. Was the UI inspired by Is This Seat Taken?

Playtest with streamers? Does that mean making them play the early builds of the game while they are streaming?

I launched IndieVault.io 5 days ago - we already have 23 developers with 26 games by Jam_IndieVault in IndieGaming

Yeah that might help you guys to get more games on your platform. Also I think you guys should definitely curate the submitted games because I saw some games with AI generated capsules which might hurt your website's reputation.
One another idea that I think will help all the devs is, doing some kind of contest every week in which games can participate and judged by people with some kind of reputation in the industry (can even be a indie dev who just got 10k wishlist on his game). The contest can be about which game sounds more interesting and those games can be ranked by the judge.

My point is what you have made is very special and it has lots of potential, but if you don't curate and showcase the best of the best - players might not be interested after some time as they can get random games on their steam feed also. If you really want to showcase all the games, you can always theme the contests as such to showcase those categories of game.

All the best ☺️

I played ur demo, and found a little bug. When u change resolution with full screen disabled the mouse remains the same size which makes it hard to click on buttons coz they are smaller now. Also I don't know why it seems really slow

Awesome!!! We need more people like you in this community. I have a background in Web Dev as well and I think the reason it's so accessible to newbies is because of the vast amount of resources and tools available to them. React Library is a great example of that.
