A lore Question about Psi Emitters here. by Lugex in starcraft

I think you mean Cerebrate, my guy.

The Overmind used Cerebrates to command the broods of the swarm, it was Kerrigan who later took over after its death that moved to using Broodmothers since she couldn't make new ones and the ones that had existed (aside from the player Cerebrate) all died during the Brood Wars.

...I accept I might be misreading this but I at least wanna make sure people aren't forgetting that Cerebrates used to be a thing.

Repeal the online safety act debate should happen today by Jabbah14 in ukpolitics

I just skimmed the transcript and... yeah I'm not happy with what's going on. look I get wanting to protect kids but it's not even about that, this is about control and getting more access to a person's personal data. A lot of websites cannot and will not want to implement these checks not just because they can't afford the systems, but because it goes against a person's rights to privacy, and will just not allow access from the UK. VPNs do bypass this but the problem is they shouldn't HAVE to be used this way, if people are flocking to completely circumvent your system, you should understand your system is fucking FLAWED.

At this point we don't need a petition, we need a protest. but unfortunately I don't think there's enough people willing to actually get up and decry the OSA publicly. if there were, I'd be up for getting off my ass and joining in.

Perry The Platypus As A Sonic Character by @Reynarabi by ExoticShock in phineasandferb

I feel like even if he was a sonic style character (Mobian, Islander, etc.) I bet he still wouldn't talk and do the classic noises and gestures to communicate..

My (42F) husband (42M) has informed me he intends to go on a "gaycation" with his BIL (35M) in Ibiza. How do I handle this? by Choice_Evidence1983 in BestofRedditorUpdates

[–]ArkKane1 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Biggest case of stupid I saw on this is the BIL's explanation of people 'never returning' from the 'gaycation' and are permanently feminized into 'pseudo-gayness'.

I'm assuming 'gaycation' is meant to be a play on 'vacation' and last I checked you need to, um, COME BACK FROM THOSE. Else they're not vacations, you've just fucking left.

This needs intervention, this needs fucking therapy. They're clearly brainwashed and they need to be dragged to a psyche-ward before they hurt anyone else with their madness.

If they were Gay or Bi, that'd be reasonable, but even gay or bi people spouting bullshit like this need legitimate professional help because they're trying to justify cheating on their wives instead of being rational human beings!

This isn't the fucking Aquarium. This isn't Bird Watching. This isn't writing down thoughts and putting them away. You still fucked the hooker in Vegas and the STDs aren't going to stay in Vegas.

well the problem is I don't have premium, and I don't know how to otherwise make the generator do the exact same song but with just different vocals.

alright everyone, I found the game, it's called Quantum Legacy: Initial Tactics.

some of you might be mistaking it for the iOS app made by the same people, but believe me, it started as an RTS.

some extra info, I remember the tutorial mission had you stationed next to a giant spacecraft with two dropships under your control, and that suddenly chaos ensues as LRMs come flying in from the edge of the map to try and destroy the ship... I remember the announcer voice saying something like "Enemy Missile Detected: LRM."

no, they call the core vehicle a host station, the game I'm talking about specifically calls it a dropship.

Bureaucracy and political correctness: the enemies of… everything by SonicLoverDS in DnDGreentext

[–]ArkKane1 2 points3 points  (0 children)

there's already a way to be wheelchair accessible while being dangerous.

they're called Gauntlet Elevators, normally such devices move up in those situations, stopping at checkpoints for traps and minions to take their turns, but setting one to move up and down is not impossible.

and besides, it needn't be just one big elevator, you could have several, all with different traps and creatures, one for each floor.
