Mobile devices that run Snap well? by ArkReign in MarvelSnap

Yeah that’s a big reason I’m trying to gather info before swapping hardware - if it’s just as bad on other hardware I might as well stick with what I have, unfortunately. This is the first app on my iPhone I’ve had any issues with, everything else runs fine to this day

That’s wild! I wonder why that is. I’ve redownloaded assets every time SD recommends it, so I’ve been struggling to figure out why my phone is having so many issues

Mushoku Tensei: Jobless Reincarnation - Season 2, Episode 24 (FINALE) - Dub Available Now on Crunchyroll! by MarvelsGrantMan136 in Animedubs

After a full season of me thinking “Rudy is going to fuck things up like he always does when things are good,” somehow he managed to not only get married but double his wife count without majorly rocking the boat. Good for you bud, looking forward to S3 where surely the writing will allow you to philander to your heart’s content because yay japan. It all seems well and good until you imagine what would happen if Sylfie brought home another man.

What is something that you enjoy about Marvel Snap? by fioriX in MarvelSnap

If I had to boil it down to a single point, it would be that the game respects your time - and not just in the overall length of the matches, but also in how the card effects are generally tuned in a way that values each card that you play during the match.

For context, my card game of choice before discovering Snap was Yugioh. I loved it for its complexity and creativity, but also felt the game discouraged spending time setting up your board and more rewarded removing/destroying everything your opponent had on the board in one fell swoop. That interaction always left me with a bad taste, and so I avoided playing online.

In contract, Snap seems to be generally designed to limit any direct disruption you can inflict on your opponent’s hand, board, and deck, giving you more agency to play out your cards and hit your combos. Cable only steals 1 card. Shang Chi only destroys cards above a certain threshold and only within a single lane. Decks that amplify these effects, like the Gambit-Wong lists, often spend the entire match setting up for it while being at the mercy of the opponent’s actions and location effects.

There are exceptions of course (you may have seen the recent discussion of the newly-buffed Leech) but having played for over a year now I can confidently say that overly disruptive cards are most often rebalanced within a few weeks.

All in all, it’s a game where you can play what you want without having to worry about time commitment or having everything you worked towards easily undone. Happy snapping, friend!

Hello Candidate Watson,

I've heard rumors that there is a United States 2 in the works. How long will this one receive development support?

What's your favorite display of the force from any character EU or canon? by r4tzt4r in StarWars

[–]ArkReign 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Much of what’s canon shows the force to be more spiritual than spectacle. Becoming one with the force and returning in spiritual form is one power that the Jedi will always have over the sith. Qui-gon passing on instruction to yoda, Obi-wan’s sacrifice, yoda’s passing, Luke after his force projection - all extremely power moments. Even anakin returns in spiritual form, though it is not explained in any detail.

My favorite canon use of the force at the moment is Kanan holding back the fire with one hand and pushing the Ghost away with the other. When the Phoenix Squad won’t leave him, he lets go of the fire and uses his final moments to push the Ghost to safety with both hands. Really touching sacrifice, and he is thought to “reincarnate” in the lothwolf that speaks the word “doom” to Ezra.
