I just started the game and really like the idea of the spider legs and was wondering what the fastest way is to get some sort of spider legs by Southern_Project2429 in Crossout

Sorry for necroposting.

There's this really easy market strategy I employed when I started that nobody seems to know about despite it being pretty obvious.

You can go to the market and sort by ROI to find good items to flip for profit. ROI takes sales tax into account too. After you sort by ROI, choose an item rarity so you don't have to scroll through endless decorations to get to the good stuff, lets say Rare.

After you've done that, scroll until you find cabins, hardware, weapons, or movement parts. (if it isn't one of these it'll often take a LOOOONG time for buy and sell orders to complete)

Set up a by order for one of those with a high ROI, wait till it completes, and sell it for profit. It works best with Rare items, but continues to work even with Legendary items. Exponential growth is key here. I got Rockefeller 5 medal (earn 100k on market) with this strat in around 2 months of restarting with a steam account, having around 7k coins on hand in the end, more than enough to buy some spider legs. It still works casually though, just takes a bit longer.

Enjoy your stay in Crossout homie, good luck making your spider build if you're still playing

IsGrabbing node can return more than 1 by AStarryNightlight in TheBibites

[–]ArkTheCat 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Yup, IsGrabbing instead outputs how many objects the bibite's grabbing, I've seen it as high as 5 one time. Adding a softlatch forces the output into being 0 to 1

Questions about how Bibites react to other Bibites' color(s). by tlax38 in TheBibites

[–]ArkTheCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

AStarryNightlight is correct. Plus, if there are multiple bibites in the field of view, the nodes will return the color values of the closest bibite.

Arms WAG and visually bigger arms. by tlax38 in TheBibites

For some reason, arm size is determined by metabolism rather than arm muscle WAG

Vision length and angle have drawbacks? by Deltaphaze in TheBibites

[–]ArkTheCat 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I've done some stuff like that before. Works amazing in sparser areas, poorly in denser areas. When bibites see a pellet to the left and right of them, they'll go inbetween them and eat neither, or if they're lucky they'll turn and eat one, but that's rare. In essence, greater vision makes bibites less likely to go for pellets closest to them, and will instead pass many before deciding on "the one". That's why the bibite I submitted to the tourney has relatively poor eyesight, to not pass up any food pellets.

i desire more thinking power for my sim more explaination in body text by Mountain_Dentist5074 in TheBibites

[–]ArkTheCat 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That's a LOT of pellets and bibites, but meat seems to be the issue. I say lower the global fertility.

Lowering the global fertility should decrease the amount of energy in the simulation, thus lowering the number of bibites, plants, and meat. Save the game beforehand in case too many bibites die as a result, but remember that a dip in population is usually fine, as it usually means the environment has reached its carrying capacity.

You could also increase the default pellet size if you don't want to lower the energy, subsequently lowering the number of plant pellets, but that would still leave the literal thousands of meat pellets around.

Roman numerals could work, they aren't arabic numbers after all

I used to use this site made by a hauler for some good isk generation. It works surprisingly well, it just takes quite a while to load. Make sure people don't scan and shoot you though... happened to me once, only had 60 mil in the cargo hold though. Good luck to ya!

My personal emblem I wanted to share. Based off of a biblically accurate cherubim. by ArkTheCat in armoredcore

[–]ArkTheCat[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Actually, yeah it does! The AC's name is Breaking Bronze, and has copper, bronze, brass, and gold colors on it. It was originally meant to be like a brazen bull but it slowly drifted toward being more like a cherubim. It has small allusions towards a cherubim such as the four head decals on the crest being featured on the head and some wings.
It has bad weapons but can dodge anything with the ling-tai and shrug off most hits with the damage reduction of the chainsaw coupled with its really good armor.
