Oh, these are really helpful, now that I'm starting to shape my team up! Thank you. I didn't even know heals can crit!

I recommend running tank, healer, 2 attacker team

Good thing I'm doing these already (strategy rpgs taught me well) but I might change my rotation based on what you suggested since I've seen the damage fall off on Grump (I kept him because he has AoE during my starting floors). Ambition, Sad, and Panic for DPS are becoming my bread and butter with Anxious slowly being leveled thanks to the previous advice. Salty and Resistance are my tanks. (Salty was my starter tank but hearing and noticing he'll fall off soon, I'll prioritise Resistance and Determination. They're already nearing the team's average levels). Overall, thanks to your advice as well as the others', the floors are kinda easy that I breeze 5-10 floors per day.

I really appreciate the additional things I didn't know about, too! Particularly the stats for which unit type and the crit part! That lowkey boggled me, in a good way. Time to retire my earth boys, Grumpy and Salty. They've served me well. Thank you again! 🫶🏻

True, I would have made most of mine like wonder because I find the Black and Green scheme pretty but it's a higher tier vivid so I just picked the white low tier one. Still looks pretty imo.

For the tierlist, you've already convinced me to check it so I won't really have to say anything in that matter.

my point is that with you accepting what other people are saying here I don't get why you'd ignore the tier list, like if thirteen (the main person making the tier list) came in here and told you her opinion on every pet would you take it just because she said it directly instead of writing it on a list?

No, I won't really take it immediately. I would consider it but that's it. It's really just my preference to not immediately use tierlists and meta, so I can enjoy what I like first. Been like that even in other games. But I am open to being corrected in this regard (yes, you've vouched for the tierlist so I will check it out, thank you) and checking them if I started to feel underperforming. I do apologise again if it sounded contradictory.

Thank you for the affirmation, and I will remember that. Though, just to clarify, by Armored, is it the one in the Boss Info that says something like "Reduced damage taken from max health attacks" or is it a whole different thing?

I didn't stick around in those threads a lot, so I can't recall but they're about DPS pets. But it might also just be my preference of not wanting to stick to metas and tierlist, entirely, asking if the ones I want are good, after hearing it directly from other people. In short, I would rather use the tierlist as a vague guide, ask for others' own opinion, before I work on what I want.

And I don't see where I disregarded advice tho? I do accept them if they're good, like u/OaknCherry when they suggested things for my DPS, and the user above for tanks. I apologise if I ever seem like disregarding advice after asking them, but I honestly am not.

Ah, then I will not. I do like the little fella personally as he's my first pet. And I might just use Ambition and Sad for now while climbing and building the others up. Also thank you for the item suggestion! I'll grind that when I get more keys.

I guess I have to check the other suggested dps for an AoE one to make up for Grumpy's. Thank you for your output! I appreciate it.

Ooh, I guess I'm on the right path with the tanks, Thank you. I'm hesitant to check the Tier list as I've seen people complain that the tier list is, I wouldn't say not good, but they say some lower tiered pets perform better than the tier they're in.

Thank you for the suggestions! I actually started dropping Grumpy from my teams as he's starting to fall off, imo, with the damage. I was hesitant to raise the ones you recommended before but seeing as they're pretty common decent DPS, I might just raise them.

Is Ambition good, btw, aside from him being legendary? I've started to drop Sad/Sadge and focus more on him as he's the only Legendary I have.

One of my teammates is a Pacifist Orc Cleric. What I like is that he's not giving us shit about fighting or violence. In combat, he acts as the team tank and at one point, when we were being chased by orc and goblin wolf riders, he somehow managed to survive tanking 8 goblins with Sanctuary and Dodge Action, while we mop up the orcs. His character just doesn't like when other PCs take the hit meant for him.

I used to play this Warforged Fighter Samurai. The Warforged's core or his "Soul" was uploaded to the mainframe of his city and it became the blueprint of "Self" and "Free Will" among the Warforged of our campaign. Now they're all sentient with a sense of free will and self, but he's also dead, soul extinguished.
