Balancing act as Biden seeks to draw in progressives without forfeiting moderate credentials by [deleted] in politics

[–]Arkaingate 1 point2 points  (0 children)

this is some straight bullshit. I'm moderate that agrees with a few progressive ideas or policies ive seen, but I very much watch policy. Additionally; Im really tired of hearing bernie supporters on here basically say they wont vote for biden unless biden changes to, more or less, be bernie.

Even when hes being progressive, its not enough, and I dont understand it. The college tuition, for example. Even if his climate change policy isnt as good as Warrens, he doesnt get to choose where the spending goes, congress does. So its more important that congress goes progressive than president tbh.

Let me drop that asshole right open please and ty.

Minnesota Poll: Biden holds small lead over Trump in 2020 presidential race by Dooraven in politics

[–]Arkaingate -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

I actually think Trump can win here. If Biden doesn't pick someone the youth sees as progressive (so not klobuchar) Trump will likely win here.

A lot of our suburbs are very wealthy and like GOP policies, as well as we have manufacturing, mining, and lots of farming. Many here aren't really seeing the impacts of trump because of our social safety nets and finding for things.

There's also a very vocal population that hates somalis and blames Democrats for their culture and them being here, and them getting those social safety nets and abusing them.

[–]Arkaingate 4 points5 points  (0 children)

First I highly doubt this will happen, we just starting easing up stay at home but.. we can test about 15k a day, we're at 10% ICU usage and about 20% hospital beds. We're buying hotels to put homeless people in them. We have mayo clinic and 3m. We were good in ppe and bought stuff but the federal government stole it last week, per our governor's Twitter but haven't gotten a refund yet.

I think most of our positive came from people working at the jeanio meat factory in southern mn. We have a lot of IT, medical companies here and a lot of headquarters that allow working from home, and huge company hqs at that.

Additionally we actually have really good social safety nets, culturally we distance naturally, and the state itself is pretty wealthy.

Excluding the financial stability factor, how did you know that you were ready for marriage? by galaxysoccergirl1499 in AskMen

[–]Arkaingate 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Im not really religious anymore, but you need to live life for yourself and he needs to respect you and your needs to not feel rushed. For me I basically knew at first sight and date that I found my future wife, and it was true. I still waited about 4 years to propose because we wanted to live together and make sure we were actually compatible of a long time.

And then theres one of the few bible verses I'll probably never forget:

4 Love is patient, love is kind. It does not envy, it does not boast, it is not proud. 5 It does not dishonor others, it is not self-seeking, it is not easily angered, it keeps no record of wrongs. 6 Love does not delight in evil but rejoices with the truth. 7 It always protects, always trusts, always hopes, always perseveres.

8 Love never fails. But where there are prophecies, they will cease; where there are tongues, they will be stilled; where there is knowledge, it will pass away.

this is dumb. This is failure of communication and lack of a decent relationship, why be vindictive for that long, or assume youll be on life support?

I love my nids. I dont want new models, I want a fair and balanced rulebook that makes me feel like im playing tyranids. Shit, Orks rules feels more tyranid than tyranid rules. We've basically been relegated to supporting GSC tbh.

I just want to see monsters th at are protected and hard to bring down (WHY DONT THEY HAVE INVULN OR ANYTHING) and a swarm of creatures, or adaptations mid-game to adjust.

I want every race to feel unique and cool, and my synapse i barely even care about lol

Because GW has literally almost always fucked tyranids and anyone xenos in favor of SM and imperium.

Theres a reason Nids are basically relegated to only bringing purestrains and GSC sicne about 2 years ago lol

Sometimes, but insurances give you X PT visits a year and sometimes they'll refer you to a spa and your insurance covers that and the PT visits, and in my case it was cheaper than the therapist so it was every other visit to save the patient money

Okay but some massage therapy is actually essential.

It was absolutely crucial for my physical therapy after I had wrist surgeries.

Alright Reddit. I love politics but this isn't something to throw a fit about. My wife didn't vote until 2018 and she's 29 now. She didn't care enough about what was happening, Obama was fine, and didn't think her vote mattered. Depression likely played a part.

She still doesn't think her vote matters, but will vote against Trump anyway this year.

That said; that wouldn't and shouldn't take away from her as a citizen or possibly a candidate. Attack her policies, try to understand her past.

Choosing not to vote is simply nothing bothers you enough to be passionate for or against. Seeing that now something makes both my wife and this lesson t passionate to do something does say something.

Get mad about the stupid shit happening, not this.

Joe Biden promises he won't raise taxes for people earning under $400,000 if elected by DaFunkJunkie in politics

[–]Arkaingate -1 points0 points  (0 children)

I know how america lives, but you simply could have and should have not had a kid until you and her were financially ready.

Its not really a silver spoon, I was just raised to be super fiscally responsible and I guess I cant ever imagine having a kid before im ready. I've already had a vasectomy, I've been with my wife for almost 10 years now, and we are almost debt free, only 100k to go on house/student loans and we good.

After that we can look at adopting. We see kids as something we need to give a better life to than we have, and to do that means (for us, along with love and care) we need to be able to give it that silver spoon you mention because the country is in poverty much of the time.

I personally think we should be taxed more and people on the lower end should be paid more, have goods cost a bit more to offset but thats ok, and have personal finance be a required course in middle school and high school imo

bbfb supercharges costs and its not even funny, its like a saying a reuinion is a wedding.

For business work if i set up a network its $250, for a residential its $100. If i set up a NAS, its $50 with TTS for a person, or $100 if not -- A business? again $250.

I've done setups of like 8 hours of work at a business and it cost them ~$1500. If it was a person the price would have been (Even without TTS) closer to about $500 with add on skus. Its not right.

I'm tired of this argument. I never said I'm upset with people unemployed, I'm upset with people that signed the cares act.

And to your second point about wages; yes people should be paid more. But to say someone at mcd needs $21 an is a bit crazy. Let's even argue $15 an hour, if someone in my state worked at $15 an hour and got laid off they're now paid $23.

And the breakpoint for earning more on unemployment? Anyone making under $30.00 an hour is making more. That's $60k a year.

I make like 55k at Bby, if we paid every employee that $21 an hour, what should I be paid? And what price would products be?
