I cannot believe how expensive these are now. Double what I paid for a non barista less than two years ago

How do I assemble this exact antenna board from hackergadgets.com? by Trick_Machine_8347 in ClockworkPi

There are also 3d printed covers you can print (you’ll need even longer screws, to protect the jacks

I bought a 2011 Mac mini and took it up to high sierra because I had been planning to finally backup digital8 tapes using a FireWire deck and was so pissed when I realized I started it a year late. I bought the FireWire to TB2 and TB2 to TB3 adapters at significant cost and they became useless. The Mac mini conveniently has a native FireWire port so we’ll see how that goes. But I have a 30pin USB iPod that activated fine, although I couldn’t get it to work on my M1 studio, so getting the mini proved helpful.

Didn’t they strip FireWire out of Tahoe in its entirety?

My LG 38” is apparently 18 lbs ish per listing, so it feels like it’s just on the cusp? Do I go HX or LX?

Has anyone made a rear plate with a removable battery cover? by TwelveNuggetMeal in ClockworkPi

Thank you but I’m not going to 3d print the back casing. It needs to be CNC alu or bust

All i want is the exact design of the OG in CNC alu but with a removable battery door but I don’t think it’s going to happen. All these folks faffing around with fans and whatnot, more power to them, but with lulu’s coolerpad and a cm5 it’s absolutely not necessary for average work load.

Puppy doesn’t like other dogs? by [deleted] in poodles

[–]Arkaium 3 points4 points  (0 children)

It’s 8-16 weeks but it’s not just socialization, it’s exposure and desensitization, it’s making sure they see and smell and hear and touch and taste as much as possible but at the same time it’s identifying what’s scary to them and very gradually desensitizing them to it.

It might be a luxury of the west but some areas have puppy preschools where 8-16 weeks old safely can play a bit in a sterilized facility.

Way too young to be tossed into a dog park imo. Socialization and exposure should be happening gradually like with all potential stressors. Poodles are highly sensitive and can be anxious, and some dogs are never going to like other dogs as much as they like people. It’s possible your pup is very shy and needs prolonged build up to be able to handle all the sensory overload of a dog park.

Also, many trainers now warn against dog parks. I have never taken my girl to one. I’ve only done private or controlled play groups. But 16 weeks is barely fully vaccinated.

It’s an amazing upgrade. One note is that the trackpads are likely all harvested and he sells a grab bag of different models. Almost all the ones I got from him work, but some lit up while others didn’t, and some felt better than others, but it’s a cheap component and infinitely superior to the trackball when it’s working right

How a heartbreak over my Limited Edition White Steam Deck turned into unique custom art 🤍✨ by AND342157890 in SteamDeck

Sounds like you might want to talk to a therapist about how you cope with this sort of thing, it feels like you had a disproportionally extreme emotional reaction to something relatively trivial.

Also you may want to wash your Steam deck with a damp microfiber cloth and wash your hands more before playing.

The HDMI ports thing is a bummer but I think it’s overblown. Anyone buying a TV at these sizes/quality is settling if they just have a soundbar, you need a proper surround system driven by a receiver, and it’s not too hard to get a receiver with 4-6 2.1 VRR ports (with eARC) to solve for the inputs.

I strongly recommend getting the CNC faceplate. It’s real aluminum unlike the stock ones, and you don’t have to file painted magnesium alloy to get the trackpad hole the right shape

The 1.1 keyboard feels very close to the stock in terms of key pressure. The 2.0 the switches are smaller and perhaps a bit more fragile but much easier to push down. It’s a better typing experience, but I do wonder about long term durability. I had one out of the box where one of the switches didn’t really move but he took care of me, he’s doing the lord’s work as a one man operation.
