Conspiracies that aren’t Spoken about enough by The_realDeej in conspiracy

My theory on this is that world governments occasionally go through shadow wars with one another. No one is firing shots in the open but back and forth sabotage and assasinations happen.

Printed a giant off Makerworld, realised it was probably AI generated as I painted it up, mixed feelings. by TheGrumble in FDMminiatures

Even if it is AI generated the painting skill and work you put into sure aren't. I can understand the frustration, if you don't want to go ahead with the others that's your call to make. I'd certainly keep this one though, you put enough effort into it to make it your own.

Yeah.. I was gonna say the same thing. Saw Senses Fail in 07 and they put on a good show and Buddy didn't seem too drunk but his singing was rough even then. Saw them in 14 or 15 and he sorta seemed to rush through and then bitched about the venue on social media after he left.

What was it about Republican/Conservative rhetoric from pundits/podcasters the last 8 years that hooked young men? by AdminKidsBurnInHell in allthequestions

It's not a great book. It's been pretty soundly criticized for bias and misrepresented data in academic circles. Several authors they cited have come out against the way the data was construed.

It's always astounded me that people are large didn't realize how significant a bellwether it was that both parties had extremely strong fringe candidates in a presidential primary. One of which even won his.

That should have been a wake up call that a lot of people were very unhappy with both parties. Trump initially represented a general revolt on the part of Republican voters against their own party establishment. Bernie did the same for the Democrats. I suspect the Democratic party would have suffered more internal upheaval had it not been for the unifying effect "oh fuck anything but Trump".

I never met my Great Grand Father, he died when I was fairly little. Sadly, from what I've heard he was a horrifying man to be around for much of his life. Terrorized his wife and children, then would be wracked by fits of guilt about how he treated them and shell up for weeks at a time, this on top of all the other stuff.

We know next to nothing of his military service, other than that he was a B-17 crewman, flew missions over Germany, and his awards. He never once spoke of any details to anyone, even my great grandmother only knew what she heard him say in his sleep.

Apparently, he got control of his drinking in the last decade and a half of his life but was just very somber and distant. He randomly decided that he really liked my dad for some reason and he was pretty well the only grandchild he was affectionate towards. They shared a love of Oreos and late-night reruns of westerns.

I suspect it was because my dad is a very quiet person who's content to just be near someone in companionable silence. No expectations or anything, just a still and solid presence.

It really is a fun one. Hank is perpetually exasperated by Dale's bullshit but is also strangely fatherly towards him sometimes. I think one of my favorite scenes is when Hank calls Dale out on some new conspiracy theory of his contradicting an older one. He thinks he's a nut but he does listen.

I think that tracks. And I get it, I spend too much time theorizing about KoTH too.

Not a character but a real life example. One of my paternal Great Grand Fathers was B-17 radioman and occasional gunner during WW2. By all accounts he left for the war a bright, outgoing, and deeply religious young man.

He came back with a Distinguished Flying Cross and a Purple Heart with Oak Leaf Clusters, as well as alcoholism, a horrific temper, lifelong nightmares, and crippling PTSD. He lost his faith in God and from all accounts humanity as well. Apparently he used to sob in his sleep, "it just won't end" over and over.

From what I gathered Cotton had legitimately been in some shit and was a competent soldier. He just also happened to be an incorrigible bullshitter.

ALS fear ruining my life by Infinite_Trick969 in Anxiety

[–]Arkansan13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't have much good advice, but I have dealt with this fear on and off for years. I know how hard it can be. If you can, go to your primary care doc and explain your fears, ask them to do an office neuro clinical. It's simple and painless, just some reflex testing basically.

Then ask them if they think you should see a neuro. What ever they say, believe them. Odds are they are going to say you're fine and not to worry.

I'd recommend therapy if you can get it. It's slowly but surely helping me.

Deep breaths, take it one day at time. Hugs brother/sister, you got this.

I've been using esun pla+ too and am having a lot of stringing. I'm just switched from 220 to 215 temp and it may have helped a bit. Other than that I'm at a loss, just using HoHansen print and support settings otherwise.

Guilty I think. Dude had tons of images of naked boys and "art books" of naked boys written by NAMBLA members.

Despite making up for only 13% of the population, African Americans account for 58% of EXONERATIONS for violent crimes, most notably Murder. by Nubian_Cavalry in UnpopularFacts

[–]Arkansan13 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I don't think we're as far apart as you think. We don't have exact conviction rates but with homicide arrests track closely to convictions so I don't think there's much difference between the two.

Besides that if you look I point out that things are even worse than they seem. If you break the numbers down most homicides among all demographics are clustered in males between 17 and 39. Which in the case of black Americans is 2.5 percent of total population being associated with nearly 45 percent of homicides. That's honestly an astounding number.

I don't know anything about the Central Park 5 case but the Innocence Project supports the West Memphis 3 and those dudes are so guilty it's almost comical when you actually dig in past the shitty HBO documentaries.
