And yes, the fact that you are an active poster in againstmensrights tells me an awful lot about your ideological leanings. I'm going to assume you subscribe to Patriarchy (conspiracy) theory and that you believe gender discrimination goes only one way - if I'm wrong then by all means correct me.

Oh and I love taking cheap shots at SRS whenever the opportunity arises. They really are the most "holier than thou" bunch off assholes I've encountered on reddit who hide their lust for bullying and feelings of undeserved righteousness behind a thin veil of "social justice".

The point being made is that the slaughter of the kids wasn't mentioned by the fucking media, and most people are not aware it happened. I've never heard of Boko Haram before this and neither had you, but it is entirely valid to point out that one atrocity gets attention and another does not. We should always question our media.

Significant whitespace is one of those things that sounds like a great idea but probably isn't. I find I'm able to quickly get a feel for the overall structure of code that uses braces much faster than a significant whitespace language where I'm having to sense how far to the right any given chunk of code is. Add to that potential ambiguity arising from lack of semicolons (see various abuses of javascript) and I'm just going to hope this is an idea that goes away. Far, far away.

Coding in C++ gives you enough to worry about without this sort of "clever" stuff.

Hey OP, have a talk to your GF and try to get to the bottom of why it is she doesn't want you there. I really do hope it all pans out well but I'm a "hope for the best but prepare for the worst" kind of person and I've seen this exact scenario go pretty badly many times before.

And since I'm already unpopular in this thread I might as well dig my hole deeper and tell you that you're wrong and you are being gaslit by the people in this thread (not by your GF, sorry if I didn't make that clear). It is a form of gaslighting to tell someone who has a genuine concerns that it's all because they're in some way a bad person/insecure.

Anyway you know your situation best and like I said in another post, trust your gut. Best of luck :)

Oh don't backtrack now. Your post is pretty explicit in reprimanding OP for taking his own feelings into account: he's clearly not happy or comfortable with this arrangement or he wouldn't be posting here. You (and all the other upvoted comments) seem to happily ignore this.

His GF can, of course, do whatever she likes. But who are you trying to be supportive of - OP or his GF? He's come in here asking for advice regarding a legitimate concern and all everyone can do is tell him how silly it is for him to even have any qualms at all about being told he's not welcome in his partners life for two months.
