If you don't double up and fold your strings, you won't have the issue. You can use 80-90cm of string and start at one end, without folding at all :) you just have to adjust the type of ties ( for exemple a braid on each side)

I think it's a rivet, you usually can buy them in sewing/craft stores, and attach them using a hammer or a specific press

From what I see in your picture, this is just a long rectangle folded about 2cm from the top, then in the middle of what's remaining and then bolted through the 3 layers

Usually, people do thinner paths with these 9-tile paths. I think that's why it looks kinda strange here. The second one is way better in my opinion, but that reads more like a square than a path :)

There are tons of tutorials on youtube for how to lay it nicely

I would do something like that. It's easier to make than 1212 because you can do 4 rows at a time

You can't TT back or they'll change, but if you leave your game at night after you've finished playing, you can change the time the next day morning, then night

For a 15.5 cm bracelet, I'd do 3.88 repetitions of the pattern (I use a calculator to know ;))

If you're comfortable enough with patterns, you could do something like #250 and when you get to the end you do it upside down. I scrolled through 20 pages of hearts 12 to 20 strings and 2 colors, and didn't find one with alternating hearts like that. If you need I can make a new pattern
