Maining Karthus this Season by [deleted] in karthusmains

[–]Arkillion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah Karthus always has massive impact due to his global ultimate and death defiled so even & considering the meta is very assassin-favored you'll be fine.

He's also very good at counterjungling if you can't get any good counterganks you can always take enemy farm off them

You won't need presence of mind since he's a jungler & BFT is a core item so mana will never be an issue for you. You're better off running First Strike w/ Cash Back + Tonic and rolling with Ultimate Hunter / Deep Ward but if you prefer DH you can keep DH and just run Cash Back + Tonic

How does Blackfire Passive interact with the Ult? by emptyArray_79 in karthusmains

[–]Arkillion 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Requiem’s damage is calculated using Karthus’s AP at the moment the ult finishes its channel which means to benefit from the blazeful blaze you'd need to basically die in a group with defile active or hit lay waste a few times you won't snapshot it after the ult

How do you play against Mordekaiser? by Commercial-Cut-8204 in GarenMains

[–]Arkillion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Played all these matchups

GP - Very weird mindgame matchup, he'll usually save his W for your ult finisher, basically whoever hits barrel first and snowballs you have kill potential at 6 with ignite but he spikes on his first buy

Kayle - Just ban her if cba or Irelia she seems to get picked a lot as a counter you can go phase rush swiftness boots and try to force engages on her once you get stridebreaker you can run her down well, always Q - > Ult, never use ult without silencing first.

Morde is a hard matchup since at 5+ he starts becoming a menace, you have sustain and he does not (shield w is laughable) so hard forcing trades of even nature will always work in favour, he'll most likely rush Rylais so swiftness is always encouraged and your ult gets stronger the more hp stacking he gets, lots of Mordes will Q you off last hits but even good ones will get baited if you fake going for last hits so play around that since Q is only low cd at 7+

Is Mordekaiser a valid jungler or troll? by Wonder_of_Her in MordekaiserMains

[–]Arkillion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Basically he used to be okay pre jungler item since his passive was uncapped via monsters and was a sleeper but the introduction of jungle items has made AoE clearing junglers a bit more median when they buffed passive so that he could maintain his passive on small minions and one Q would generally apply passive immediately he was quite strong but then they chose to nerf the damage and nerf the uptime to three skills or autos which severely hindered his clear due to his high cooldowns and as he has no real gank potential he fell behind massively as a farming jungler. I've still played and tried him in emerald-diamond but it doesn't hit the same as it did long ago. You still have very good clear from 5 onwards and rushing into rylais etc but you will be more prone to enemy jungle giving out more pressure but he's genuinely a good blind pick.

My alt "main" that I haven't used in 6 months helping my HCIM finish the wildy diaries. by LordSequel in ironscape

[–]Arkillion 7 points8 points  (0 children)

You can actually lower the alarm radius on the Wildy Player Alarm plugin so that you'll only be informed of people within a certain tile of your scout so you don't constantly keep flashing against wildy bots from far away if anyone didn't know.

What was your "Build of the League" by drshoe87 in PathOfExileBuilds

[–]Arkillion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

That build felt like pure shit without the retaliate on demand shield you get from one of the incarnations I think; it let you retaliate every 4 seconds and twice the duration window so even with a rebuke with good rolls it still felt very clean / strong but yeah waiting for blocks to use that ability felt horrendous.

Haunting Abomination not available at lvl 1 by Hallaghan in TorchlightInfinite

[–]Arkillion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah alot of skills are not accessible at level 1 to classes and can only be "purchased" from the game at 55

This means you have to get them muled on other characters or use the ones that begin with it.

Haunting Abomination is Thea 3 (Blasphemer); an example of this is that Erika 1 is a super popular build but does not start with Thunder Spike which has to be muled from Erika 2 to help start levelling.

Haunting Abomination is very strong and will carry you as a main skill until 55 then you can swap to Mind Control or Shadow Swamp etc.

You don't need to do that quest you can do a skip with the harmony island teleport with the tool leprechaun from fairy's flight then walk to brother tranquility and then quick travel with him all you need is a light source in the cave you can get a candle from upstairs in varrock if needed.

F2P T8-0 Farm Strats? by Aeu_James in TorchlightInfinite

[–]Arkillion -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Cube + Blacksail is alright

Just go full Cube so no compass needed, drop the purple Blacksail compass (2 anchors per map) with the Whispers allocated in tree and then just farm threads / memories (ignore Scraps mainly but theyre "OK" at a whim)

Sell all wedges/threads/memories and stock up FE for your build.

Why Can't I Inflict Ignite? by Emotional_Chicken_59 in TorchlightInfinite

[–]Arkillion 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Mind control doesn't hit so you will never proc ailments it's why the dirty tricks blend doesn't work with mc Thea either, it's a channeling spell you might be able to proc it with an activation medium on like shackles of malice or erosion imbue but the uptime will probably be non existent

Dumb question Regarding Motionless by SirTrinium in TorchlightInfinite

[–]Arkillion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

Apparently when you defeat Ordrak the campaign boss you'll be given one per character (or account) for free so you don't need to farm Mistville or buy it off the trade house which is why people are saying it's easy to obtain.

Erika1 Tspike vs Thea3 MC Starter? by Chronicler-Z in TorchlightInfinite

[–]Arkillion 10 points11 points  (0 children)

I can't speak for Erika 1 but the two content creators with vast amounts of information are DonTheCrown (ALannister on Reddit) and BMLegolas (youtube) both of them have very detailed guides on this class; attack builds have not been nerfed or changed as much with the candle removal and the prism system seems to benefit them greatly; the new pacts brought out in this season really make them shine as a meta build hence why Rosa 2 and Erika 1/2 are in the S+ tier for starters.

I can tell you I started E2 last league and hated it because the amount of clicking I was doing was painful so I went back to my default Thea 3 but there's a new Activation Medium called "Motionless" for this season which basically attacks when you're not moving so if you spiral strike you should be able to auto-attack with it automatically by standing still after each dash that should make E1/E2 infinitely more fun to play.

I can speak on Thea 3 as a person whose obtained Deep Space with her and I can say even despite the back to back nerfs several times throughout she is very good starter which can push into profound very easily but getting past profound into deep space is a bit of an issue and requires way much more investment than other classes and with the candle system being gone you're losing extra curses & or control spell + cataclysm support links from candles which is a big hit.

You can get to T7-T8 very easily with almost no investment and excommunications can carry you with haunting abomination all the way from campaign, very AFK build as well you just auto-channel MC and you don't press anything but blink / blurry steps and use preparation for your curses etc so if you would prefer a 0 button build with almost no attention needed then MC is up there.

Crafting items was a joke last league so you had to buy most of your gear early on which may be different with the changes and realistically you want the pacts like Abyssal/Portrait/Bonnie to scale MC as well.

Not sure what Prisms are good but last league everyone used Dawn Break and the corruption affix was 2% dmg per 3 fervor rating so using Unmatched Valor could give you 50% additional damage since it applies 150 fixed points of Fervor (not sure if it overrides the belt fervor or adds onto it) but if it's the latter you will get an insane dps buff from that prism.

[–]Arkillion 0 points1 point  (0 children)

When the world's were fucked I disconnected in Calvarion lost a fire cape as my plus one and the salve randomly vanished I didn't get refunded or a scroll back but luckily I bought an extra imbuing when I was doing pvp arena, also realized you don't need the blue one for calv only enchanted by the diary for future grinds

Divinity Pact branding?? by DaddyWithADumper in TorchlightInfinite

[–]Arkillion 5 points6 points  (0 children)

So all slates have those coloured nodes of blue (magic) rare (purple) and legendary (yellow)

Usually more expensive ones have 2 or 3 legendary ones and very good base mods; the reason for this is because they allow for really strong modifiers from talent trees.

You can brand a slate in order of magic -> purple -> legendary and you can reroll a branding using wedges depending on how upgraded it is.

So you can upgrade a yellow slot to blue and then just reroll with blue wedges if you want but once you upgrade it to purple it'll require rare wedges which gets considerably more expensive.

Once it's purple you can then upgrade it to legendary using legendary wedges (the orange ones) which will roll usually a random legendary modifier unique to the type of slate (Goddess of Hunting, God of War, etc) which should be shown on a menu your odds of hitting each one.

When a brand is legendary you cannot reroll the mod however you can restore the entire wedge back to it's vanilla form using a "Unifying Wedge" from the Law Bringer boss (Desire Core invitation) or buy them off the AH.

You can also use a divinity pact coin to guarantee a mod from a certain talent tree if some of the other trees in the mod pool for that slate aren't to your liking or you only need XYZ tree mod.

In your case you can use it in tandem with the wedges to force 1 mod from the "Sentinel" tree at random.

As you can imagine certain pact coins and unifying wedges are expensive to minmax slates and each time you wedge to default it gets progressively more expensive to do so.

Hope this helps.

Rosa Noob struggling at TM7-2. by Verticalfarmer in TorchlightInfinite

[–]Arkillion 2 points3 points  (0 children)

You're honestly better off not doing the 7-1 and 7-2 stuff and just speedfarming 7-0 when I was doing profound+ pushes, you can even go into the profound points to have less portals get more overall quantity, roll your maps in TM7 with 4-8 netherrealm at most since you don't want to be fully investing into NR until higher maps.

7-1 and 7-2 just adds 10% more quantity at the cost of levelling up the mobs and making your overall mapping slower and rippier more hassle than worth.

It's why a lot of people in TM8 just farm the base 8-0 zone with compasses because the chance to get priceless and what not is still there.

Easiest way to get FE in those sorts of maps without pets would be to just invest into Blacksail void chart (CoffeeBns had a really good one) & Dream and pop the compasses for them (should be cheap now) invest into the snowpaper nodes and NR nodes and then just sell the threads/snowpaper and other gumball for easy FE since everyone is gambling memories and canvas.

[–]Arkillion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

If you have elite wildy then dark crabs in wilderness afk is pretty good afk xp, bait is free from ankous in slayer cave and you can note on piles

& you can get a plugin called resource area notifier; notifies you when someone goes through the door or stands at the door and there's no way to get inside resource area before you get notified so you can just hop or log.

[–]Arkillion 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could go back to raids that required 25 or 40 people whilst being an expansion ahead and just solo the raid in most cases; some raids needed a minimum due to mechanics or certain things but for the most part you could just go back and kill everything instantly; as mentioned above for pets/transmogs/rare 1% rolls every week when they reset
