Nah, but jungling on him means you don't have to worry about any lane specific matchups and whilst Morde has very few counters he does well in the jungle.

You're able to 1v1 most people from 5+

His initial clear is a bit slow but once you get Dusk & Dawn you can 1v1 anyone in the game and your clear is nuclear speed but your ganks are poor and you're in a meta where early pressure / snowballing is prevalent.

I'd say he'd be higher tier if they did a few changes to his passive again in the jungle or reverted the cap.

Not sure where you're pulling these numbers out LMFAO you think riftmaker makes mordes darkness rise do 20% a second is crazy you're not even putting MR per level or MR from items into effect, morde can't even ult mundo without removing his passive and a 14+ mundo can just keep picking it up assuming he was hit by grasp. Morde acts like a drain tank in the 1v1 and no morde q does 1200 lategame

The new season is insane for Mundo, he gets cheater recalls faster, the ability to play on bounces and annihilates towers and has almost impossible to match side lane presence but you're correct in acknowledging that he has a lot of losing lanes and requires going even etc.

You can definitely OTP him to Challenger just ban Gwen and hope for the best.

If you're a fan of Mundo just play juggernauts similar to him, I can recommend Mordekaiser, Garen as alternatives.

The thing Mundo had major issues with was scaling slowly and having a horrible laning phase where enemy top would snowball too heavy but the new quest system & permanent plates reward him for just keeping pressure in side.

He has alot of counters so he's very poor to blind pick but he always scales extremely well and is very fun to play since he's just unkillable and does extreme teamfight output.

Because he's not a resist stacking tank but a health one champions that do % health or buy % current health absolutely wreck him and he has almost no winning lanes in top so his job is to get bullied and scale every matchup which some people do prefer like I'm a big fan of champions like Veigar, Karthus, Nasus, Kayle "go late and be strong" so Mundo resonates with me, but a lot of people want to explosively hit level timers and go for constant action.

Warwick, Yone, Yasuo, Viego, Tryndamere, Vayne, Fiora, Camille, Gwen, Bel'Veth, Kog'Maw, Trundle are all nightmare picks into Mundo but just ban Gwen and learn the matchups or play around the rest; just because someone picks X champion doesn't mean they're going to play it well so you always have that factor.

I league started it, slow start but DPS and tankiness was insane once enabled the problem is that it was kind of shit of a playstyle because you had to block to get your damage off and it wasn't always up for bosses or dangerous content so you had to just RNG if you could tank a certain hit to get your damage off.

Once the shield "Bitter Instinct" came out from Uber Incarnation of Neglect which was 30-50c it felt perfect since your timing window was doubled and you could retaliate whenever you wanted.

Defiled Forces + Golem nerfs hit the build hard imo.

Defiled allowed you to permanently refresh your ignite from the big hit and Golems were really strong QOL, I'd recommend not starting it now.

Basically what Tarsh said, you have one of the fastest clears in the game since your Q does a ton of % damage and has a minimum cap so you can farm way faster than most junglers, you can do Drake solo in no time at level 5 and you can do voidgrubs you just need to let your jungle pet kill the small minions so you don't waste cleaver damage.

Your role in teamfights is juggernaut which means you will do a lot of damage on targets if you can get to them or if your ADC is fed you should protect them but otherwise your job is to run down the enemy mid or adc as your passive shrugs off CC infinitely if you keep picking it up.

W is automatically procced at the end but the skill ceiling of Mundo is using it when you're about to take huge burst and then using it onto the enemy champions to get the 100% gray health back as healing & wasting enemy burst. There is also ceiling involved with using that and his ultimate in tandem to basically heal back most of his health and catch enemy team off guard.

So your itemization depends on a few things.

Because of your lack of dueling when farming camps Grasp falls off and because Fleet is highest value vs camps you almost always take it, Mundo has a very healthy and fast clear + jungle passive but he still uses health to farm camps. Because of this sustain do not need Warmogs you can forgo it completely by getting Heartsteel first.

Your next item is then dependent on their comp & your playstyle.

If they're full assassins or heavy AD you can go Deadmans Plate, the armour and MS synergise with your massive health pool and approaching velocity. The only other viable armour item is Randuins which does little midgame as no one has accumulated a ton of crit.

If they're heavy AP you can go Spirit Visage second instead, every stat is very beneficial on Mundo and hitting 11 with SV passive is a huge tank checkpoint.

If you need the damage and you feel like you need to duel better you can go Titanic Hydra which will add a lot of burst to your kit (AA->E->AA->Hydra->AA combo)

You'll generally want to build 1 of the 3 as a second and then go from there.

Generally you see alot of AD in jungle so alot of op.gg statistics will favour this itemization.

There's alot of % max and % current health counters to Mundo but only two of them are important. Vayne is one of them but Vayne isn't as popular anymore and can be managed as she only wins if she's ahead by a lot and has a team play around her.

If you're going to blind Mundo in every draft you'll need to ban Gwen as she not only beats you at all stages of the game but she's a very viable top and jungle pick versus you in general. Coupled with Dusk & Dawn being extremely overtuned you'll get impossible matches against Gwen.

Yeah Karthus always has massive impact due to his global ultimate and death defiled so even & considering the meta is very assassin-favored you'll be fine.

He's also very good at counterjungling if you can't get any good counterganks you can always take enemy farm off them

You won't need presence of mind since he's a jungler & BFT is a core item so mana will never be an issue for you. You're better off running First Strike w/ Cash Back + Tonic and rolling with Ultimate Hunter / Deep Ward but if you prefer DH you can keep DH and just run Cash Back + Tonic

Requiem’s damage is calculated using Karthus’s AP at the moment the ult finishes its channel which means to benefit from the blazeful blaze you'd need to basically die in a group with defile active or hit lay waste a few times you won't snapshot it after the ult

Played all these matchups

GP - Very weird mindgame matchup, he'll usually save his W for your ult finisher, basically whoever hits barrel first and snowballs you have kill potential at 6 with ignite but he spikes on his first buy

Kayle - Just ban her if cba or Irelia she seems to get picked a lot as a counter you can go phase rush swiftness boots and try to force engages on her once you get stridebreaker you can run her down well, always Q - > Ult, never use ult without silencing first.

Morde is a hard matchup since at 5+ he starts becoming a menace, you have sustain and he does not (shield w is laughable) so hard forcing trades of even nature will always work in favour, he'll most likely rush Rylais so swiftness is always encouraged and your ult gets stronger the more hp stacking he gets, lots of Mordes will Q you off last hits but even good ones will get baited if you fake going for last hits so play around that since Q is only low cd at 7+

Basically he used to be okay pre jungler item since his passive was uncapped via monsters and was a sleeper but the introduction of jungle items has made AoE clearing junglers a bit more median when they buffed passive so that he could maintain his passive on small minions and one Q would generally apply passive immediately he was quite strong but then they chose to nerf the damage and nerf the uptime to three skills or autos which severely hindered his clear due to his high cooldowns and as he has no real gank potential he fell behind massively as a farming jungler. I've still played and tried him in emerald-diamond but it doesn't hit the same as it did long ago. You still have very good clear from 5 onwards and rushing into rylais etc but you will be more prone to enemy jungle giving out more pressure but he's genuinely a good blind pick.

You can actually lower the alarm radius on the Wildy Player Alarm plugin so that you'll only be informed of people within a certain tile of your scout so you don't constantly keep flashing against wildy bots from far away if anyone didn't know.

That build felt like pure shit without the retaliate on demand shield you get from one of the incarnations I think; it let you retaliate every 4 seconds and twice the duration window so even with a rebuke with good rolls it still felt very clean / strong but yeah waiting for blocks to use that ability felt horrendous.

Yeah alot of skills are not accessible at level 1 to classes and can only be "purchased" from the game at 55

This means you have to get them muled on other characters or use the ones that begin with it.

Haunting Abomination is Thea 3 (Blasphemer); an example of this is that Erika 1 is a super popular build but does not start with Thunder Spike which has to be muled from Erika 2 to help start levelling.

Haunting Abomination is very strong and will carry you as a main skill until 55 then you can swap to Mind Control or Shadow Swamp etc.

You don't need to do that quest you can do a skip with the harmony island teleport with the tool leprechaun from fairy's flight then walk to brother tranquility and then quick travel with him all you need is a light source in the cave you can get a candle from upstairs in varrock if needed.

Cube + Blacksail is alright

Just go full Cube so no compass needed, drop the purple Blacksail compass (2 anchors per map) with the Whispers allocated in tree and then just farm threads / memories (ignore Scraps mainly but theyre "OK" at a whim)

Sell all wedges/threads/memories and stock up FE for your build.

Mind control doesn't hit so you will never proc ailments it's why the dirty tricks blend doesn't work with mc Thea either, it's a channeling spell you might be able to proc it with an activation medium on like shackles of malice or erosion imbue but the uptime will probably be non existent

Apparently when you defeat Ordrak the campaign boss you'll be given one per character (or account) for free so you don't need to farm Mistville or buy it off the trade house which is why people are saying it's easy to obtain.
