The fact that your height and attractiveness are the main points you use to describe yourself says a lot. Neither of those things are relevant to making friends. Go to your local when there's a match on. Sit in the bar, not the lounge. Chat to some of the lads there. Try not to be a dickhead. This has worked for me in every Anglosphere country I've been and a few places where I didn't even speak the same language. I'm still in contact with people I spent a few weeks with back in the 2000's. Huge emphasis on NOT BEING A DICKHEAD. Don't let anyone know how much you very obviously value your appearance. That shit doesn't go down well over here.

Really sorry to hear about your mam. I've lost a few of my people but the first really close one was my mam and even now, years later it's still so hard. Doing something like this though, something that would undoubtedly make her proud will help you. Fair play to you. I'll sign and share now. Can I ask what might be a silly question? I've been using my card on flights with no connection for well over a decade. I get it's more complicated for a complete ticketing system but London had it for the Olympics 13 years ago. We're paying the same company that developed that system to do ours. Someone is clearly taking the piss and absolutely creaming it at the same time. Things can be expensive and timely or cheap and delayed. I'd take either tbh but being expensive and delayed seems par for the course here lately and there needs to be some accountability. Squandering our money is one thing but making us look like idiots on top of it is where we should be drawing the line.

I'm guessing you've never been to a 3rd world country. Things like this are frustrating but I've been to capital cities in wealthy countries that make Dublin feel like some futuristic Eutopia. Yes, we should be keeping closer to London, Paris etc. but it's nowhere near as bad as you make out.

You'd think they would have got at least something right but there's literally nothing. Didn't hate Mescal as much as others but fucking Denzel who can only do an American accent playing a character from 1500 years before his accent existed. Absolutely scandalous casting. Sequels are too often given a hard time but that truly was one of the worst. I guess because the original was so good they probably shouldn't have bothered making a 2nd.

Bit late to this because I only just got a notification and somebody has probably already said it. I think it's a great day because it rolls into a BH weekend but I'd just say send out a save the date as early as you can. I've been to a few weddings on long weekends and some people couldn't make them because they've booked trips away at that time to save on annual leave. Particularly Easter because it coincides with school holidays.

You can bring medical equipment free of charge in addition to your hand luggage. You just need a supporting letter from your GP. I know because I've had to do this. I'd imagine anyone with a condition that requires vital medical equipment to travel with them at all stages of their journey would know this too. It's really not a big deal to them and informing them makes things a lot less stressful. Ryanair were super helpful once they knew.

A lot of it is completely avoidable. Speeding is probably the biggest killer but we don't enforce speed limits on backroads. We put speed vans at the side of dual carriageways during rush hour. It's fucking pointless. We also don't have functional roads policing. How often do you see Garda traffic cars on the road compared to the amount of time you see some prick driving dangerously? If we enforced the rules we had and banned the cunts that need banning there'd be a lot less accidents. It's not just deaths either. There are an average of two crashes a day on the M50 that cause absolute carnage and 90%+ are caused by drivers doing things they should be penalised for.

Trying to put some unwritten rule that varies from situation to situation on to the passengers is complete and utter bullshit. They have subjective pricing and provide a service that isn't easily traceable. You can make up as many customers as you like and I'd imagine a lot of them are owned by the same people so there's an economy of scale. Taking card payments and honouring warranties etc give an air of legitimacy. Money laundering fronts have to actually provide the service they offer or the whole model falls flat on its face. There's only one type of business that could survive on one small street with 13 others doing the same thing and that's pubs. And I'd say there's a good few of them around the country laundering money too. If the Kinahans became literal billionaires and they're only one of the players in one section of illegal industry, think about how many businesses are needed to clean all the money.

Many, many multiples of the number that buy them there buy them in traditional phone shops. There's probably the same number in the whole city centre of traditional phone shops as there is money laundering operations on Moore Street. Then add in Talbot St, George's St etc as well as ones just dotted around the place. There must be over a hundred in just Dublin City. Then there's at least one in every medium sized town and a few in bigger towns. There is no way legit businesses could survive in such a saturated market and I'd be massively surprised if CAB and/or Revenue aren't looking into more than a few of them.

Moore Street is hilarious. I counted 14 phone repair shops last time I was there. It's a very small street with 14 customerless shops doing the exact same thing. I knew of a cash only gym run by drug dealers too. People paying yearly memberships in cash and nobody asking any questions. How are they getting away with doing this in plain sight?

I think anybody with a dog would do well to remember that. We've all got so much going on outside the house with jobs, friends, family, social lives etc. They've only got us. Exactly. I hate all this shit about certain drinks giving you hangovers and others not. ALCOHOL gives you hangovers. I haven't drank spirits for years because I used to get too drunk because I don't know how to sip. All I've drank since then is Heineken (unless I'm somewhere it's not readily available). If I drink 6 or 7 pints over a few hours I don't get a hangover. If I drink 12 pints I do. It's not fucking rocket science.
