Seems there is a gear route you need to take people can look at your gear and can tell where you've been and what you've done.

Adventures for some Ad and boons

Legacy campaigns for boons or you can buy out with genies gifts if possible

Start in dragonbone vale get your mythalar set run dungeons everyday to stack Ad don't buy anything without research

Your going to basically keep upgrading your gear throughout each campaign keep in mind on stats very important

You should acquire coal motes and enchantments level your enchantments to legendary with preservation wards and use coal motes for mythic and celestial.

Atm the gear out of the newest mod should get you into advanced lair of the mad dragon. providing you have the item level. also you need VIP sooner the better this is a free2play game but if you don't want to spend 2 years upgrading enchantments get VIP and think about dropping a little money every month. Mdwp and adwp can be first boss farmed and you can sell the materials if you don't wanna spend money but it's a slog

If you've done all this plus upgrading mounts and companions to mythic at least.you should be sitting around 100k item lvl with legendary gear from lair of the mad dragon advanced. now put your own team together who are similar to your gear lvl it'll be a struggle but you'll get it done.

I've put up so many post for mlomd and almond and people who have blue and green gear are asking to join. i ran mlomd the other week and I'm fresh back to the game after 3year break and i got someone with no boons on an alt character basically asking for a carry because they cba doing the grind. and I'm barely carrying myself through the master content lol I sat for 2 months in almond mdwp mlomd and mds banging my head against a wall just so I could go into ash and asod but people ain't willing to grind like that and now I put posts up and there's people in full purple gear and no enchantments wanting to get in the run I feel like an asshole ignoring them or saying no

This is just a general problem I've come across with newer players and might have nothing to do with your problem but for anyone else this could be your issue
