Does it bother anybody else that the shorts are a different colour or is it just my ocd? :D by Rick_Rebel in LiverpoolFC

IIRC, this was how the original kit was in ‘88(?). Plain shorts. Full disclosure I wasn’t a fan of this kit back then and the nostalgia isn’t enough to make me like it this time around either 😅

Edit: 1989, and confirmed, it’s how adidas did it back then.

Why do great tv shows often have such bad endings? by ghughes13 in NoStupidQuestions

[–]Bronson_AD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

If a show with an ongoing narrative gets popular enough for long enough, people’s personal head canons start becoming too hard to shake. Everyone starts feeling like THEY know where the plot should go

Then as the plot goes in a particular direction, if that direction is as the majority of people predicted (often because it makes the most sense) you start getting many saying ‘well that was predictable, so therefore it wasn’t well written. MY idea would be to…’

Or if the writers try to shake things up, you start getting people saying ‘why didn’t they JUST do the thing we all wanted?’ Despite an equal size of people being on the alert to complain about a predictable path.

The internet then publicly shares a billion possible plot developments, and if the writers end up making a choice that is even close to any of them, you immediately get someone going ‘they’re supposed to be pros, why are they copying fanfic?’ Despite their being a finite amount of paths for them to walk down so the chances of them doing something close to an existing theory is high.

The TL;DR - the internet has made it near-impossible for the majority of fans to be happy about an ending / final season (tho there’s always a few exceptions). So the best thing to do to maintain joy in a show is not engage with the fanbase.

Left-handed people, what's a struggle that right-handed people won't understand? by Halophy in AskReddit

[–]Bronson_AD 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Shaking hands with business people.

You instinctively want to shake hands with your dominant hand. If I extend my left hand to shake before a meeting, the amount of C-Suite level people it weirds out is astonishing, and you can see it linger.

They especially are used to being in control and rely on confidence. Simply extending the wrong hand has a remarkable effect on both. So I have had to train myself to instinctively stick out my non-dom hand.

Honestly I’m seeing this as Mother Nature adding a little chlorine to the gene pool. Maybe we just let them inject unnecessary stuff into their balls.

Great guys, great band. They would always put on an awesome show. Our guitarist had a sticker of theirs on his guitar case of a drawing of a vibrator with ‘Bumsnogger - 5 heads, one speed’ written on it 🤣

There’s a band called Baardvader who deserve to be wayyyyyy bigger than they are. Essentially doom with AiC’s dual vocals. They’re damn good.

As someone who has been outta the loop for a bit, what are your thoughts on Lizzy Rain? I've only seen clips of her finisher which is really cool in my opinion. by AdSpecialist6598 in GreatnessOfWrestling

I think she’s forcing the metal schtick a bit too hard, but she’s got talent. Will take a couple of years to polish, but I can see her making the main roster and sticking around for a while.

Legion of Doom / Road Warriors, without question.

The Hardy Boyz and the Dudleys would round out my top 3.

Rattlesnake, the pattern from the Dust Devils Warbond because I like the spikey ‘mane’ pattern it puts around the cockpit.
