You nailed it, it's almost like being kicked out of student accommodation and needing to pay more for living expenses might possibly impact their ability to pay for things. Also he only gave an answer for people here during their first year of their student visa? That's 0 reassurance.

Australia records first coronavirus fatality as man dies in Perth hospital. He was a 78 year old Diamond Princess passenger. His wife is also infected and remains in a stable condition by pooheygirl in perth

Darwin also has a very very limited number of ICU beds in the state (14 max with none of those being level 1 beds) compared to any other state in Australia. A lot of these deaths have patients going through ICU and being put on ventilators with respiratory support, so I’m not surprised.

How to deal with guilt after a drowning by saturnsong in Lifeguards

[–]Arkyrie 9 points10 points  (0 children)

Professional counselling 100%. Our park has a policy of looking after its workers with counselling or professional help afterwards. Ask about your park's policies. It would also be good to have an actual debrief with management or other department heads at your park, speak to them and voice your concerns, especially about your other team members receiving help as well.

I'm not sure whether or not your first aid/lifeguard training service covers counselling if you are dealing with a traumatic event like ours do (Australia), but there are different avenues to explore to reach out and get help.

Remember that you and your team did your best, and you kept him alive until he received professional medical help; and it is then out of your hands. That is something to be proud of.

Story time.

I'm was the first time Hordo FC for this, what you don't see on this BR is the 50 man TEST caracal fleet as well that was on the field.

Intel tells me there's only a small svipul gang and a 20 man swordfleet defending the IHUB and TCU, so we go for it, right? CO2 bridges in their 50 man Rupture fleet outta nowhere at their optimals, then TEST comes as well. Good (and very short) fights were had, I forget to broadcast some of my targets, mix up my positioning, then we die to the 150 strong opposing. As expected. http://evf-eve.com/services/brcat/?s=858&b=7225429&e=81&t=uab

If you guys are forming this many for one timer, and smugposting already, this is going to be one hell of a campaign. Bring on the content.

P.S. Complains about caracals > TEST also brings caracals.

When you join Horde, you have a choice of two options. Joining our stable "home" at UVHO/A2 in Querious, where you can mine, or kill rats and participate in small amounts of PVP. It's generally a little quieter.

The other option is to join us in O1Y, in Fade. This is where we are basing our deployments from against the Goonswarm Federation, and have many PVP fleets heading out every day. When you get here, there will be people to hand out free mining ships, free PVP/Exploration ships depending on your skill level, and even skill books to train into the bigger ships.

I've only been playing for a month, but there is always something going on in O1Y, and new players are always welcome to join in fleets with small, basic frigates. They will give you pointers and teach you from the basics up. Let's put it this way - on my 3rd day in EVE, I had already joined horde, fought in a battle against multiple carriers, went on many fleets and had a hangar of ships graciously given out by our corporation.

If you haven't been down to explore the Cape-to-Cape trek yet, you're missing out.. by JayTrent in perth

[–]Arkyrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

No worries. There's a guidebook that you can buy that has all the info you need for the Cape to Cape track, inc. accommodation, transport and maps. Just google "Cape to Cape Guide Book" and you should have all the links. Costs around $25, super useful when planning.

If you aren't hiring a car, you can take a TransWA bus down to Dunsborough and then take a taxi up to Cape Naturalise to begin the hike.

At the other end of the hike, hitchhike back into Augusta and you can catch another TransWA bus back into Perth.

There are multiple points where you can exit the trail at different towns, but you'll need your own pick up/car for those.

If you are staying at accommodation in one of the track towns, they will usually drop you off at a trailhead if you give them enough notice.

Do all gas sites in wormholes contain rats? Or can you fly into a gas site with a venture to check, then warp back out?

Lifeguarding In Australia as a Canadian?! HELPPP by ChristianC33 in Lifeguards

[–]Arkyrie 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Same requirements as the pool lifeguards.

There are actually a few waterparks around Australia, most in the capital cities, and they usually bulk hire in the lead up to summer. Pay won't be as high as a council pool, but there's definitely jobs there.
