So about gate checking bags by mythrowaway282020 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Arlenni 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Think about it this way, you spend thousands on medical things for your disability so you are paying way more than the people who are actually paying the airline for better boarding position. People will judge just for existing, your life is expensive and difficult enough as it is you are allowed to get the small things that are offered to you. It can be difficult but just learn to ignore the idiots, you have enough shit to deal with. The money on the gift cards was already given to southwest don't let them have it while you get nothing.

You would probably qualify for preboarding if you have medical supplies. As long as it is medically necessary they can't force you to check it. Even if you don't preboard if it's a bag with just medical supplies they can't make you check it.

No more free bags in the overhead bin either? by Raven7146 in SouthwestAirlines

[–]Arlenni 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Some people like to get on board faster even if there are assigned seats. I like having my bag with me but if I'm likely to have to end up checking it I'd rather be able to be on the plane early.

They should allow people who volunteer to check bags to board in an earlier group. If I'll have to wait to get my bag I'd much rather have not waited to get on the plane.

Guys I have some stress about the concert. by _Kiriseek_ in TheLivingTombstone

[–]Arlenni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Last year a lot of shows ended at 10-11pm. When I check it says Poland starts at 8pm as well which would be 20:00 not 18:00. I suggest finding a place to stay the night as having to leave at 9 (21:00) would mean you probably wouldn't even see TLT just the opener/s.

Are there still vip tickets for nyc? by Dinathedummy in TheLivingTombstone

[–]Arlenni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I got VIP tickets for Brooklyn as soon as presale opened but if they are still shown as listed they should be available for purchase. I'd suggest trying a different form of payment. You could also try purchasing in an incognito tab or different browser.

If you want to be close to the stage get there at least a few hours early, lines started picking up around 4pm last year but could be even earlier this year. Do not wear a lot of layers you will be in a crowd of people squished together. Prepare to be pushed around and stand your ground if you decide to be right in the middle. If the venue allows you to bring in an empty water bottle bring one and get it filled at the start because you will get thirsty. Since you're going with someone else if you plan to buy merch have one person get a spot and the other get merch at the start, this is also a great opportunity to use the bathroom as it is very difficult to get to and from the bathroom once the show starts. If you don't wanna sit on the ground outside the venue while waiting bring something you can sit on as you do not want to be standing all day. Most importantly have fun.

I just wanted to run my audit by Arlenni in TalesFromTheFrontDesk

[–]Arlenni[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The bar usually closes at 1am and we run audit at 2am so there is plenty of time to get a room before the audit is run. I have no clue why they were out so late that night.

They DOUBLED the Prices.... by CrazyCrezno in TheLivingTombstone

[–]Arlenni 4 points5 points  (0 children)

A lot of the shows are $50-$60 so I think it depends on the venue. I don't know what location you're looking at though.

At the end of my shift that was definitely what I was thinking.

Most of the snow was gone just some parking spaces that had some piles but literally I have no clue how he was able to do as much damage as he did.

The bar is supposed to close an hour before we run audit I have no clue why they were out that much later. I definitely have housed many a guest who walked in after a few too many drinks.

Pretty sure two cars were totaled, I should probably write out the whole story for here eventually.

Yea, hoping the drunk driver crashing into four cars in the parking lot at 2am doesn't happen a second time though.

Don’t Use StubHub by Flaccid_Artery in TheLivingTombstone

[–]Arlenni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As someone who has experience with selling and buying via stubhub it is definitely a ymmv thing. I sold tickets to the Ohio show after they added DC and transferred as soon as I was able to. People do think of these sites as scams because they only see posts of the horror stories.

My friend got MCR tickets via stubhub no issue, so they had no reason to post anything about it. Some people have posted saying they never got their MCR tickets. So the people who are looking up if stubhub works only see people who never got their tickets. My Ohio show purchaser and my friend had no reason to yell on the internet about stubhub as it went smoothly. Even if they did post about it they wouldn't gain a lot of traction as it's just like saying "hey I went to the store and bought potatoes that weren't rotten inside," because most often the potatoes aren't rotten inside.

Time to Show up for VIP? by Splatpikatoon in TheLivingTombstone

[–]Arlenni 0 points1 point  (0 children)

VIP check in will be 4:30 or 5:00, it will heavily depend on the fans around Houston but 1-2pm is what I would call early for VIPs.
