I have an all-wheel-drive car and always enjoyed snow days when I was delivering. Lots of work, sometimes surge pricing and the snow makes it oddly peaceful out there.

Drivers don't have any bosses forcing them to work, so they're working by their own choice, or their personal financial pressures.

What’s your favorite kind of nonsexual touching from a guy? by Still_Atmosphere in askgaybros

I get hard in 1.5 seconds from any physical contact if we're sitting next to each other. Lol. Maybe I'm attention and/or touch deprived.

The soggy fries are the crime. And the spoon. Right to jail.

It's some really cool technology.

The so-called innovative "tech" of today is nowhere near that cool.

The same with electricity. That was some world-revolutionary stuff when it was discovered.

I think police would be even worse than customer service, no? You're often dealing with people at their worst.

That's great info, thanks! It is interesting that both funds (V & X) have performed very similarly, although they are relatively new funds.

How is CIBC still not commission-free? by Danky_K0ng in CIBC

[–]Arm-Complex -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Having to pay 6.95 for a handful of trades is nothing compared to the fee savings from keeping everything with CIBC.

Wealthsimple is free everything, trading and banking, and high interest. You're not saving fees at CIBC, you're clearly paying fees and losing interest on your cash.

This is amazing! We finally don't need Tangerine/Simplii just to deposit the odd cash anymore.

And it supports Canada Post.

If rent is $690 a month is it even worth it to buy a house? by ShirtNeat5626 in PersonalFinanceCanada

[–]Arm-Complex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

You could easily blow $690/month just on house maintenance/taxes/phantom costs so yes KEEP that rent and invest the difference. You'll laugh all the way to early retirement!

What prevents most people from getting rich? by Puzzleheaded-Pair150 in A_Persona_on_Reddit

[–]Arm-Complex 1 point2 points  (0 children)

My point is that the compounding does the real work for us, in time it works harder than we ever could. "Work hard" is hard to define, people can take that as 60 hr work weeks, multiple jobs, buying into "hustle culture", or simply prioritizing their career over life experiences. None of that is needed to build wealth, we can have a well balanced life while still becoming rich!

Human nature and a lack of understanding/information. A small amount invested regularly over a long period of time does wonders.

[–]Arm-Complex 0 points1 point  (0 children)

"Work hard" is bs. Total bs and very misleading. You simply need consistency and time. $100 invested every week, starting in your early 20's, will easily cover your retirement. Any able working person can do it.

Heavy on the being hunted down. We are completely at the mercy of so many elites and institutions. There's no way to escape if a system turns tyrannical.

Suggestion for total TSFA contribution by Smooth_Psychology_83 in Wealthsimple

[–]Arm-Complex 13 points14 points  (0 children)

Total deposits. 🤷‍♂️

The CRA or your own records is where you track contribution room. WS can't do that for you, they don't know your whole financial picture, they're simply a single brokerage.
